Where do you buy your pre-loved Tiffany jewels?

Recently I've seen genuine Tiffany setting with vastly inferior stones being sold by antique dealers. Anything your buy make sure you can get an afternoons independent appraisal.

You'd be surprised at the prices sometimes. My DH got me a surprise Tiffany diamond from a reputable diamond dealer. At the same time he got himself his first Rolex. Got a really great deal in the Rolex but my diamond would have been cheaper from Tiffany.

Thank you for your replies, those are some great links! As I was looking for DD, I fell in love w this:

I could dream...

Wow! That ring looks like it was rolled in diamonds. I have the regular Etoile Platinum band with a sprinkling of diamonds and it sparkles like crazy. I can't imagine what this one would look like in real life. You might have to wear sunglasses all the time when you wear it.

Hi Shopgirl, quick question for you re: your Etoile ring. I have the same one in platinum and love it, but find it hard to keep shiny (I also have it in 18K gold and it is easy to polish). thought I would ask if you have any tips for cleaning platinum? (I don't have much of it, so don't have experience with regular upkeep). thanks!

When you say you have a hard time keeping the platinum shiny, I think you mean that your platinum has developed a "patina"? If that's the case, the only way to get rid of it would be to have your ring professionally polished by Tiffany. However, you wouldn't want to do that on a regular basis...maybe like every few years or so. I only wear my Etoile ring with my Tiffany wedding band which is also platinum. I don't wear any other rings on my left hand that might rub against them.

I hope that answered your question. Let me know if it didn't.

I bought a vintage Tiffany & Co. ring recently from Beladora. It is gorgeous, in amazing shape and their customer service is excellent! I agree with others who have mentioned Yoogi's Closet and AFF. In particular AFF I have purchased from twice. They are wonderful.

I have not bought vintage Tiffany but I am having a lot of fun browsing what's on shop goodwill.com. I see some obvious fakes and some possibly very interesting not-fakes.

Here are some examples of stuff that might be authentic and might be good deals. It depends if you want to take a chance and can deal with the tarnish, etc:

Frank Geary heart on leather cord with earrings:

Bangle Bracelet, the markings look nice -- except that front O on CO -- that might be suspect. hmmm...

Sterling charm, initial E (if your daughter's initial is E, consider snapping this up!)

I have no experience with Tiffany except for reading on the internet. Anyway, just thought I'd share. The bids go high on some of these things, of course it's buy at your own risk, the items are typically non-returnable.

Wow, I would never have thought to look there. I will check it out. And, my youngest DD's name is Ella Grace!
