When it comes to bags are you trend follower or trend avoider ?

I would say I don’t follow trends nor do I aim to avoid it. I don’t actively stay on top of fashion and any pieces (whether handbags, clothing or shoes) that I’ve acquired are because I think it’s functional and beautiful. Definitely trendier bags make a splash and are more likely to make me aware of it but I’m usually late to catch the trend train anyway...

I spend my hard earned money on bags that will last. If something is trendy I wait for the style to trinkle down to the High Street, buy it at Zara and mostly am over it before the trend is over. Then put in on a pre loved site so it's not taking up space in my collection anymore.

I don't follow all the trends and I 5 piece. That means you buy 5 pieces per year (or season, whatever you like). Because I almost always look the same, the most visible way of variation is a new bag. Because I know some things don't have to last forever, I spend accordingly. But sometimes I just want to keep up with the Joneses.

I do have to say that quality is still a thing and some of the cheap zara bags I didn't want to let go off, are still looking very well after some years. Although I don't use those as an every day bag, off course.

I am a trend ignorer mostly because I don't have that much money to throw around on bags that don't have lasting power. There are some bags that were / are trendy that I love and I feel like they are classic or nostalgic pieces, for example Phoebe Philo's bags from Celine. I have the Phoebe mini Belt Bag and I love it. Even though Celine still produces it, to me it'll always be a classic piece because it came from Phoebe's Celine days.

The "trendy" bags I see on Instagram are mostly from Chanel (Gabrielle then 19), LV (Multi Pochette, then the Pont Neuf, then Coussin), and Dior (Saddle, Book tote, 30 Montaigne) and they are so hard to find in stores. I don't want to buy into the hype, spend a ton of time looking for it, or buying at a premium, then have it be out of fashion after 1-2 years.

I buy what I like. Period. I'm in the age range where I don't need to follow trends just to follow trends. However, if there's an item that is trendy and that I just happen to like, then I might buy that item. But, I'm more into style over trends.

That’s great style definitely is better but you don’t you feel the curiosity to try trends in less expensive bags, maybe you feel like hey I want to try that trend but not willing to pay for it in the high end world or the contemporary brands.

anyway my mom got fo my new sister in law a gorgeous H&M bag which looks almost identical to the tote book from Dior she gave it to her as a beach bag.
The Dior tote book it’s a bag that you might feel a little fear to get it but if you find something very similar to it in a better price is something you might try it noo ?

yes, trends and bold colors it’s something we Would all be more willing to get in stores like Zara. They make them really nice and they are perfect to try trends.

I just bought a neon pink puffer bag for this summer. I love the look of a puffer bag but can't see myself wearing that in a couple of years. Not to mention neon, that screams summer to me. I would not gravitate to that in winter. I love the bag, but things like these are not forever bags, they are not an investement and I really want a price to match that.

I'm definitely a trend avoider. Not because I don't like having the same bag everyone else has, but simply because I don't like current trends. I wouldn't avoid a certain type of bag if I truly liked it. For instance, I love my Galleria/Saffiano Lux Double Zip tote, which is arguably Prada's most famous bag. Lately, I've been thinking of getting one of Balenciaga's Moto bags. But I suppose, you can say that those bags were once trendy but quickly became classics. So they don't really count.

Most of the bags I see now are small, retro, casual, sporty-looking shoulder bags. I really have no interest in any of those. Just not my jam.
