I have a wallet that is showing some signs of wear -- little scuffs, nothing major -- but it bothers me when I see them. I'm wondering if I'm just being a perfectionist, or if it's time to replace the wallet.

When do you replace your wallet and other SLGs? When they show wear, or when they are falling apart, or somewhere in the middle?

I think it depends if it's meant to look pristine, like a patent wallet. On the other hand I have one that shows scratches easily and the patina makes it more beautiful..

OK, gabz, here you go.

The scuffs don't show up that well in the photos, but I sure do see them when I use the wallet. It *is* a good quality wallet, and I love the style, so I might use it until it falls apart.

^Perhaps a conditioner could even out the finish? the corners looks fine.

Keep your wallet for now.

I also use my main wallets , not exactly until they are falling apart but when I'm just about to pull it out my bag in a fancy shop and then feel like keeping it half hidden inside, if it's that embarrassing it will be time to say goodbye

I also keep more delicate wallets in a separate compartment in bags so they don't rub against keys, zips and other usual things.

I'm ready to toss my LV wallet because the inside part is peeling and then I got some sun screen on the outside and it doesn't look good. It's about 15 years old, so I got good use out of it.
