I use my LV Damier Ebene speedy 30 Bandouliere , it's been two years now and I've been using it everyday for work, it still looks brand new and I never babied that bag. Highly recommend, weather proof and very durable.

I haven't really thrown around my luxury bags quite as much as my contemporary, so I can't say which of my luxury bags is my workhorse! To that degree, I would have to say my pebbled Coach leather bags, they have stood the test of weather, being dropped on the grass, rain, etc. and have held up really well. My smooth leather bag not so much...

I really enjoy the PS1, but I find the strap not long enough (I like crossbodies!) but if you're OK with that, it wears pretty well with abuse. If you're OK with non-premium, the best bag I've ever used during university, was an old Linea Pelle Dylan Zip Tote. Lasted for years with not much wear until the studs (unfortunately) fell off. But the leather aged really well, and I enjoyed using them until I wanted something more functional in terms of lugging textbooks around for grad school lol.

Curious because I'm in the market for one! A larger size daily/work bag that can hold a lot and doesn't have to be "babied."

I'd especially love to hear from people who have used a bag heavily for a long time and have been pleased with how it's held up.

I'm eyeing either a Chloe Marcie or a Balenciaga City, but would love to hear about your favorites.
Hi pbmuffin! I have both brands so a few thoughts for you. People may think I'm biased towards Bal because I've been with that brand a long time & have many Bal bags but I also love Chloe & I do have a Marcie. While I think the Marcie looks more feminine & elegant, & fab quality with leather & details, I do find it heavier(than Bal) & thus I do not carry it often. Bal bags are lightweight & most Bal lovers will tell you they do not feel like they have to baby their bags (which you said you don't want to do). They do age & get distressed over time, but that's another feature of the brand that most die-hards love. They become like your favorite pair of comfy jeans, in the best sense. I would also recommend the "Work" size for you (City is great & most common size) but you say you need it to hold a lot so I'd compare the measurements of both Bal styles. On a side note, I'm a more classic, traditional dresser (& work in a professional dressing industry, as opposed to a more casual dressing industry) & I absolutely love how Bal adds that unique little edginess to my outfits. Hope this helps you a little & best of luck w/ your decision!!:flowers:

I can't really carry a nice bag to my day job because my work bags get so much abuse - the highest- end I've gone is a Longchamp Le Pliage and Okay's.Lately I've just carried a no-brand nylon tote.
For other gigs, I mostly carry either a DvF croc print tote, Longchamp Medium Le Pliage Cuir or, for overnighters, a Lumi Supermarket XXL. Lumi bags are practically indestructible and it was actually my first Lumi Supermarket (XL which found a new home last spring) that taught me how nice it is when a bag has a perfectly fitted lining. Oh, the joys of simple things..! Le Pliage Cuir is a great option when you want something a bit more than just nylon, but want to keep it casual and worry free.
