$90 for each hardware. So at least 6 x $90. I haven’t even asked about studs! So the SA advised me that the condition of my speedy is still ok for a 5 years old bag, told me to just continue using it for another 5 years then bring in to change to make my money’s worth.

Also I noticed my other 10 year old speedy B in Idylle has the shiny hardware and 10 years on it’s still sparkly!! While this 5 year speedy B in DE has “matte-ish” hardware. It tarnishes so quickly. I asked if they could use the shiny type of hardware for repairs and the answer is no. Still the same “matte-ish” type of hardware.

wow i think i would just keep using your speedy and enjoying it. that is quite a lot to replace it with hardware that would likely age similarly. i have been collecting lv for many years, but my little workhorse speedy b 25 definitely has patina and wear to the hardware but it does not bother me a bit. i have lots of pristine bags but this one has character! jmho : ) i do dress it up with a hot stamped luggage tag and an lv charm chain : )

Have you tried cleaning it with Brasso?

I have to say my PA for most driving days. It really is the prefect bag. I almost want to say it’s almost worth the new price tag. I had a choice between my PA, double zip, and felice during the summer away and i reached for my PA 90% of the time. Also I royally mess it up (the leather tab ripped off) only paid like $80 to make it brand new again. Talk about the best purchase I have ever made. I bought like 5 PAs when they were $200. I still have all 5 and three look brand new because I got it fixed.

Love them too:smile: I have 3 and also think they're the best! I just wish I bought all of them when they were under $500 (I only bought DA at that price). I sold my Felicie it just didn't work for me.
