What's on Your Gucci Wishlist for 2023?

I have M Aphrodite and a Large Bouvier (flatter - like the Aphrodite without the gusset of the Jackie). In this current crop of bags I prefer the Aphrodite because it's a smart hobo, not stiff, not boxy and the goat leather is incredible.
Downgrading or downsizing?
The Blondie line has some of my favourites and I really like the classic colours. IMO if you go for the Aphrodite (see above) you don't need the Running G on the Marmont too (if you will ever carry both bags together) but if you get the Jackie and the Marmont you will have two very renowned bags.
I'm super late in answering this, but better late than never, I suppose! I very much disliked the awkward way the tassel hangs when the bag is being worn. You can't tell this from the online photos because they're all of the bag sitting on a surface with the strap hanging down.

If you don't have one already, think about getting a horse-bit chain. I still have my original (black leather) loving and using it.
There are always great vintage bags out there, but these will go up in price once Gucci ire-issue the bag later in the year.
I ended up with a few pieces, including a python Horsebit. I know it has many downsides, but I’m just in love with python.
I’ve been thinking long and hard about the Jackie 1961 chain wallet. Would anyone have reviews on the leather version?
Been thinking about this bag for the last 1.5 months... Should I pull the trigger?? I don't love how rigid the zipper is, and the 3/5 bags I've tried so far have had some quality issues such as the inner lining being poorly sewn and the stitching being off so that the bag's shape is imperfect. But I CAN'T stop thinking about how lovely and beautiful it looks!

I've gotten 50/50 votes from my friends/family, so very on the fence between the brown and white. I personally prefer lighter clothing, but not sure if a white bag is the most flattering.
I LOVE how the bag looks but the quality issues are what's making me very hesitant about actually owning the bag.

You look great with both (I like your style overall too).
Don't buy either if you're not sure - or wait until you are.
I don't know what you have now in your collection, or what your expectations are, but I don't think I've bought anything other than Gucci apart from Hermes for years. It was my H that's had to go back for repairs.
Thanks for the feedback! This would actually be my first Gucci bag!! I've always loved how the Gucci monogram looked, but was never drawn to any bag design until this half moon one came out. I'm REALLY back and forth about this one because I think about the design daily, but every bag I've looked at so far had a quality issue which is why I haven't officially made a purchase (and I've looked about 5x in store now). Here's the list of what I found:
- Piping was not painted well and had a dimple
- Stitching on the curve of the bag was inconsistent cause it to warp the overall shape
- Inner lining of the bag was loose, crumpled and didn't adhere to the shape of the bag because it wasn't sewn in properly. I saw this x2 so maybe this was an intentional design choice but it bothers me.
- Zipper on all the bags was stiff and hard to pull which is a big pet peeve of mine for bags. I tried the zipper for other bags and it seemed Gucci's zippers are usually stiffer, but the the ones on this bag in particular are VERY stiff.
Maybe since this item is considered a mini-bag and an SLG less care was given to its construction. I'm surprised to hear your H was the one that needed to be repaired considering it's marketed reputation for quality. I'm not familiar with older or other Gucci bag design's quality, so would love to hear any additional thoughts on your experience with Gucci!

I have a feeling it's similar for many brands these days including Chanel, SL and so on, but I have never had to go through 5 Gucci bags, I'm not sure my store would have that many in a single style and cw for to look at, it's not good to hear.

This was at 4 different stores, so I wasn't looking at all the stock in a single store (hopefully saving an SA from a headache)! But I agree it's definitely disappointing to see. I love Alessandro Michele and really wanted to grab something from his era before it got phased out. Hopefully I can find one without any quality issues! Thanks for the link, I'll check it out!

I'm a little late to the party but Id say my top choices currently are:
- Blondie shoulder bag - love the hardware logo and chain but can't decide on a color. I wanted the blue suede last year but it sold out. I bought the boots in the blue suede to see the color but returned to saks. Saw in a light blue leather at gucci boutique in saks last week which was pretty just not sure i would use that color much. Interestly enough, I've been lusting after a fendigraphy bag but also can't decide on a color and their light blue was the color that sold out. Green also interesting but i just bought 2 green bags.
- Matelasse small bag in light pink - i love this but I'm always drawn to light pink bags and as a result have several so not sure how many similar light pink bags one needs although i do think the stitching on this makes it different
- saw 2 Marmont belts i liked with light pink GG logo in what seemed like a hard plastic (not sure) instead of metal for buckle but couldn't decide between the all light pink leather or white coated canvas with pink buckle. I really want both of them lol
Didn't realize until writing this post how indecisive I'm feeling lately about color when color usually my dominant buying motive! Anyway, here are pics of the items i mentioned.
