update: they sent it back claiming "wear and tear" :( after 6 days - absurd IMO, Magnums never sent it to Longchamp they said.

I have no Longchamp stores anywhere here... What a waste of my money

Le Pliage is a very durable bag. I have fuschia from Magnum as well, and after the entire summer carrying another bag in it (YSL Downtown) to keep it from soiling, draggging it for a month abroad, then school started in September and I carried it with books and students papers for two months straight, it looks like it was bought yesterday.

Yours is just a piece that is faulty.

Le Pliage is amazingly durable.

Just ask for refund, customer service must do something, we will help with oppinions, and even make a petition if needed to return the one which is obviously ruining Le Pliage's reputation

I thought so too, which is why I bought it. I sure hope mine is a fluke. I don't think they will take it back, last time we spoke, the lady said they can't because it's wear and tear and bags on sale are final sale...

I just discovered that my longchamp medium Tree of Life in white has frayed and has a tiny hole at the bottom corner this morning! I have only been carrying it non stop for nearly 2 months!IT was from Magnums.net, but my friend ordered it for me..I am so upset right now...for USD130++ I expect it to last a few more years...what should I do? I don't have the receipt anymore...

I think Longchamp fixes corners? email/call them and ask, I think you can come by or send it to them for fixing. I don't know whether you'll have to pay for it, worth to ask though.

I have a Longchamp, that got a tear in it from heavens knows where, and I emailed them about repair info, and no one ever got back to me is there a number to call?

I don't imagine they repair tears that aren't their fault - you might contact a local sewing shop (if it's not leather) or a local shoe repair place (if it's leather) for repairs....?

I thought I'd update. I've been really wanting a Le Pliage still, and decided to give a Le Plage another shot sine it seems like my 1st one was a fluke.

Got one from Nordies today, this way I know they won't give be trouble if it frays so fast. Lucky me, the 1st one I grabbed was Made in France - the large black one.

Congrats! I hope this one is a better experience :)
