Jalda was a clutch bag maker from a few years ago that I discovered from a PurseBlog posting about them. Simple, timeless shapes with nice Italian hardware, made in California. I bought two clutches and found them extremely nice quality and reasonably priced. Sad that they couldn't make it, but it's been a tough economy for very small businesses.

Pauric Sweeney - is the company still going? I only see sales and Liberty etc don't seem to stock him anymore

Bracher and Emden - preempting, they separated (Ricard Emden went it alone for a while) but seem to have just got back together

Trussardi: Not where are they, more what are they? They used to be international, classical beauties and fabulous, then they did 1911, then back to Trussardi, not even a glimmer of their old selves (although I quite like the dog collars m cats are not so keen)

Loren Taylor Same old stock for years :shrugs:

Tanner Krolle: Still great now owned by Chanel but so quietly bespoke, it's all gone weirdly silent

which leads me back to one of TK's former designers

Quentin Mackay: Suddenly his old designs are on the TK website, where's his label gone, apart from 'by request' that is?

Bracher Emden sells on Boticca.

Lovcat! They used to be at Filene's (I believe) on occasion, but mostly popped up in droves at TJ Maxx, deeply discounted. I'm pretty sure these were my first accessory/bag obsession - lots of pink and hearts.

I remember seeing these at Nordstrom back in the day.

I also wonder what happened to Violet May. I was trying to justify the purchase for work and then they disappeared.

I almost have to wonder what brands we'll be asking about ten years from now.

Isn't that the truth ... so much has changed in the last ten years, can't fathom what it will be like ten years from now.

Pauric Sweeney used to be sold on the Outnet and Yoox, I also saw the brand at Saks in Dubai. Last october, Saks told me they didn't sell it anymore.
It was a very nice brand.
I think it must be difficult to survive when there are so many trendy brands appearing on the market....

I think so too :shucks:.

I have a lovely but robust, green python PS bag with glorious deep tan bridle-hide leather trim and suede lined. The materials are so generous and the price-points were not crazy

LAMB by Gwen Stefani. I loved the styles and the variety of prints (coated canvas) and they were very high quality for the $300 range. Good wallets, key pouches and cosmetic pouches too. It's possible they are still made but I haven't been able to find any in Canada for years - used to be sold at Holt Renfrew and the discontinued prints used to be sold at Winners. I have two bags that are about three years old and other than having to have one of the zippers re-sewn they still look brand new.
I saw a bunch of LAMB bags at HR2, not sure where your located but its at the mall in Vaughan

How lucky you are Papertiger. Those python bags were absolutely fabulous.
I remember a multicolored one which I didn't buy because of its price. I am still thinking of it today....
