1. Brand- Louis Vuitton Jeanne wallet
2.Price- $ 565 ( I think)
3.Full size canvas wallet with removable zippered pouch and card case
4. Quality- Great, I have used it everyday with no issues since purchasing last Sept/ Oct
5. Overall rating - 8/10. I scored it as an 8 only because I usually prefer zippy style wallets and this one has a front button closure
6. Do you have your eye on another model for your next wallet? If so, which one? I'm not in the market now but my next wallet will probably be a monogram LV Clemence

do you ladies think the trend is going away from long continental wallets ot more compact options? i currently have one of each and bounce between them constantly.
LV Clemence and LV epi zippy coin. the zippy coin is great and epi is very hard wearing. it holds more than you would imagine! i like the clemence because i dont need to fold cash but it isnt as bulky as other zippy wallets.

Interesting question. I used to only carry large continental wallets, but recently moved to a small one where bills must be folded and I love the design. For my next one I'll look at anything under 20cm long... any bigger and it won't fit in my smallest bags. So for me either small or medium size would be good. I never switch wallets.

I think huge wallets were a thing for a while. Fat zippy wallets, continentals etc. With the mini/micro bag craze card holders, coin purses and mini wallets started to make their way into women's lives even more than before. The society is starting to become less cash oriented, with all the mobile pay apps and cards and other modern gadgets, so there isn't a real need to carry a large wallet for any other reason than personal style choice or to house a phone - and I think that's why we're seeing alot of WOCs around. Phones are so big these days, you can't really fit one in a regular wallet anymore.
My phone is tiny, old and I can shove it in my Mulberry LLP which is a continental style and works as a clutch. The latest iPhone 23DD Lavender Edition most certainly will not fit in...

Never thought it would be so difficult to find the perfect wallet! The search continues.

I like the idea of trying an LV but not keen on the mono or prints... and their leather wallets are so expensive! Wonder if they are worth the money.

Off to a big department store tomorrow to see what they have.

I can recommend the LV Empreinte leather. It's pricey but it holds well.
If you want to pay less and get great quality nevertheless, I can't praise Longchamp high enough! It's a great brand, especially their Foulonne leather wears like iron and there are several styles to the line. If you can get your hands on an older Mulberry item, that's another one to look out for. The older pieces, from the 00's that is, are extremely well made and the leathers are also sublime.

1. Brand and model - Salvatore Ferragamo, Gancio French wallet (the smaller one) and Gancio Continental wallet. The newer models look slightly different.
2. Price - about 600 for the french, 700 for the continental. Can get them for less when SF has a sale.
3. Design and looks - My favorite wallets by far. The design is perfect for me. I never spend much time fussing with them. The French wallet has a coin purse, two bill areas, and can 9 cc slots. The Continental has 10 cc slots, 4 bill areas, and a change purse in the middle of the wallet.
4. Quality - Superb. I own one french, and 3 continentals in the same design but different colors. That's how much I love it. I also own a Balenciaga continental zipper around wallet. I hate it. The top cc slots are right below the zipper, and it's the biggest pain taking cards out of those slots as they caught in the zipper lining.
5. Overall rating -10. Seriously, they're just perfect wallets.
6. Do you have your eye on another model for your next wallet? If so, which one? - Nope. I don't even look anymore. Don't need to.

So right! Exactly why huge zippy wallets drive me nuts. That and the fussy zipper!

Could we please have a look inside your lovely wallets?

Thanks for the suggestions! I will check out LV Empreinte and Longchamp (which I'd never considered before), as well as older Mulberry (was very disappointed with my new Mulberry).
