I’m blonde and fair (tan right now) and I went in store and tried the MOP on. I thought for sure I would love them. Nope! They got lost on me. I ended up getting the onyx. They really pop on me. My sweet husband ordered the malachite for me as well and those are BEAUTIFUL! They pop against my hair and skin as well.

Malachite is usually quite flattering on pale blondes. Since you like how the stone looks on you and do not care for the look of the other stones you mentioned as earrings, and it is in the yellow gold you prefer, I would say to go for it.
Nicole- I like other stones but cannot order them all at once and I'm unsure how they'll look on me.
Janellmarie- my jewelry soulmate! That was my fear about MOP. Everyone seems to be a MOP fan. I tried malachite during the daytime and it's "it". I ordered online and just got the color right. Luck! Btw, how nice of your husband!
Do you have other favs if I might ask?

Yes! Blue agate. It’s beautiful and the darker stones look great against fair skin and light hair. I told my husband the two pairs of earrings are my big purchases for the year and right afterwards I heard about blue agate coming in September! My best advice is go in and try everything on. Try on things you never considered as well. Congrats on the malachite earrings! They are stunning and I feel like they can be cared for easier because they are an earring and not a bracelet that could get water on it. Do you have any on your wishlist?

Hmm maybe blue agate is an answer. Very feminine flirty, fun. I wear lots of black in colder months.
I have 2 motifs of MOP on my wishlist as a must have and another 2-3 motifs. 2 motifs of MOP can be my special evening wear. The added "oomph" factor. I prefer 2 motifs then 3 because of heaviness and I don't want them too long. But I like when my earrings dangle but not too much. I wonder how long I can wait for such a special order.
Does anyone like sweet size? I saw my doctor wearing sweet size and I was like no. Maybe it was just her ears and the wrong color that looked dirty.

I don’t think that malachite and onyx are distinct enough to have both in the same size earrings. unless of course, you are building sets. otherwise, they can almost be interchangeable if you want a darker stone earring.

agate would be so dreamy in earrings. and really pop as apposed to onyx/malachite.

Good point. One picture I took at night.. my malachite looked black. You saved me money. Do you think that MOP and malachite in same size are also bad idea? Or carnelian?
Agate indeed will look dreamy in earrings.

same! malachite looks different in daylight versus at night.

mop glows beautifully and gives a very different look than malachite.

I don’t own carnelian yet, but I would guess that earrings are similar to malachite and onyx depending on the shade.

Thank you September :) Are you eyeing different collections? I haven't seen them on many people. Or I haven't looked properly. (It's vca but I'm thinking ahead and creating more affordable and goals (but not Elizabeth Taylor like dripping in diamonds and whatnot just.. everyone has "hmm, is it worth it" items probably)

great approach to plan ahead and carefully select each piece! there is lots of info here and some on youtube. I would ultimately get what you love.

in addition to alhambra, I love frivole and perlee collections. the zodiaque is beautiful, but I don’t like the design of virgo 😬.

Yes carnelian also depends on the shade you prefer. Stones I've seen can range from lighter, more orange-y tone to brighter red color all the way to slightly darker brownish hue. And because bigger the size, the more transparent it looks so depending on what you wear with it (the background color) can also seemingly "change" the color of the stone. I actually went into the boutique a few times to find the shade I loved the most because it's a bit difficult to tell in photos/videos.

Oh!!! Will blue Agate be available in YG or WG? Also any intel on the size? Vintage or sweet? Thank you ❤️

I am now blond and I find mop is lost on me and onyx is stark. Best are malachite (I have green eyes), blue agate or tiger eye. I feel tiger eye is best stone for blonds. It is beautiful but still neutral. I have the 2 motif lucky earrings with tiger eye butterfly and they are great all year earring.
Try tiger eye to see if you love too.
