Is the only reason you're not buying it is because of resale value, but you love it otherwise? If so, and you'd want to use your bag long-term, I'd think about reconsidering the investment angle and taking it.
Reasons being 1) nobody knows if our bags will or won't hold value in the long term, so I personally never bank too much on the, "bag as an investment"-line of thinking. For ex, the people who bought Constances assuming they'd hold parity with Bs and Ks must not be thrilled now that most stores no longer consider them quota bags. For all we know, Hermes will come out with a bag even more exclusive than the B/K and those two will be considered the has-beens. 2) Color trends can be cyclical. Previously "unpopular" vert anise and blue jean are two colors that have seen a resurgence, and recently I've seen boosts in prices for those two colors specifically. 3) Today's hot trendy colors lose favor over time. Etoupe is a good example (no offense, etoupe lovers). I think it got dethroned by craie. 4) Even if you wait and get a "popular" everlasting color, market saturation can drive down those prices. Which is why brown Birkins are also some of the cheapest (thankfully, as that's my fav color family). So yeah, absent maybe black, I've gone down that rabbit hole myself and I've never been able to pinpoint if it's even possible to win in the "which color holds value"-debate. 😄
If Vert Yucca works for your wardrobe and you love it, I say go for it! And then post here so I can swoon over it.
