the ‘Notify Me’ option on the product page of a particular item allows you to sign up to receive email notifications for the item as soon as it becomes available for purchase online.

I have found that, in my experience, it has not been beneficial nor advantageous for me as the email notifications are sent hours later after the item has been available and ends up being sold out - therefore I end up missing that small “Add to Bag” window for purchasing my item.
