I’m 39 and this is my routine:

- I visit the hair salon every 6-8 weeks. Every time I get my hair done, I get a treatment as well. Our hair becomes thinner and more prone to damage as we get older.

- I don’t go for facials or anything med spa related. I have very sensitive skin so I have to be very careful.

I mostly use only La Mer skin care products. i even use their body lotion to help keep my body skin looking good and soft. I also do get massages but not on a regular basis.

- I get my nails done every 4-6 weeks

-I don’t get my brows done. I’m a natural blonde and my brows are barely there as is. I clean them up with one of those facial hair razors as needed and fill them in.

- I wear makeup pretty much every day. I swear by Chantecaille future skin. I think that it’s the perfect foundation for aging skin that I have found thus far

- I’ll probably never do eyelash extensions, lift and tint or micro blading or permanent makeup.

- I take some beauty related supplements - hair skin and nails, biotin and a collagen supplement

- I always use sunscreen

- I don’t drink

- Even though this is something that I struggle with- I do believe that the less sugar you ingest the better off you will be in the long term
How do you find la mer? worth the price?

Hello Ladies!

Skin: my skin became much dryer and prone to pimples. I think it’s because of the hormones. I was always a fan of korean skincare, now I use a lot of Paulas Choice products too. I always use a strong sunscreen.

beauty Treatments: before Covid, I wore lash extensions and went to the manicure and pedicure. I do pedicure now, but not more. The lash extensions where amazing, I am fair skinned and blonde and with them, I always looked more awake. But I can do without too, just need mascara.

medical treatments: Botox and filler. Not much, but I personally think, that it is better to start in my 30‘s than in my 50‘s.

make up: I like Chanel Make up, but I use only a bb Cream (missha) and concealer, mascara and something on my eyebrows. I like a little blush and Highlighter, but I don’t contour, bake or do eyeshadow. I like a more clean look that shows the skin.
i always use some form of lip colour. I don’t think it has to be heavy, but just a little bit of sheen is a big difference.

body: I personally think, that it is important not never to stop your training. As I watch the people around me getting older (I have a lot of older friends), movement in any way seem to be highly important. Waking or biking or sailing or golf is nice (and anybody does this) - the really big difference seems to hide in the other sports. Yoga, Gym workouts, dancing, pilates.
I do Ballett and Yoga and some stuff for my muscles. Ususally at the Gym and in a Studio, but because of Covid at home.
I struggle so much with being motivatd to exercise at home....so I kind of have been waiting for covid to go away so I can resume going to the gym.

Once covid crisis goes down I´m going to get some fillers. it´s not the wrinkles for me it´s the change in face volume.
I´m a big fan of Chanel make up too, but I´m trying to use a natural foundation at least, eventhough the texture isn´t quite right

At age 38 I had a neck injury and had to learn to sleep on my back. I am 48 and still thankfully no wrinkles around my eyes. I think not sleeping on my face has helped a lot. Fillers is a necessity at this point. With fillers I can get away without wearing much makeup. I have put Origins eye lotion around my eyes nightly since my 20s. I NEVER sleep with makeup on. And my sleep bras. When I was a teen I read that Marilyn Monroe slept in her bra every night. I don't wear a full bra to bed but a very supportive lace sleep bra. Have been nightly for 30 years now and I have amazing breasts for 48 and no surgery. Those are my must dos that I started early.

Interesting. Mind sharing which brand and model you use? I have tried a few lace bras but have never found one that stay in place through the night.

@Jktgal The last few years I have been wearing Cosabella Never say Never Sweetie Bralette. I tried the Curvy version of this sweetie bralette and it was way too much material and too restrictive to sleep in.

37 here, I don't do much

No hair color (got highlights for about 2 years age 18-20, maybe will get again someday), my hair is medium to long and I just have my mom trim it, usually a couple times a year. Use whatever for shampoo/conditioner. I don't really use any styling products. I don't really use heat on my hair, hardly ever curl it anymore although I did everyday for awhile when I was younger.

Skin is naturally pretty good, I get a little acne sometimes but not as bad as when I was younger. I have some freckles/discoloration but really doesn't bother me. I just started using Differin again and putting eye cream on every night. I don't wear foundation and concealer just on really obvious blemishes.

I've been using lash serum about 6 months, my lashes are much longer and fuller so I definitely plan to keep up as it's so easy and fast to do, and it lasts a really long time. I did Revitabrow (used on my lashes) first from the Nordstrom Anniversary sale, and now I'm also using Dime Beauty lash serum (influenced by IG). I will buy the Revitabrow again (I am using the last of the 1st tube and will get out the 2nd tube from the set soon). Revitabrow has a lipgloss style applicator which is super easy to apply and it does not sting at all, I think the set of 2 was $110 so it cost about $55 per tube when I bought which I think is about half of what it usually costs. I will use up the Dime but probably not buy again, I don't care for the eyeliner brush style applicator or that it stings a little if gets in my eye. I bought it on sale and I think it was about $32 for 1 lash serum and 1 mascara in a set, I haven't tried the mascara yet. I'm actually dipping the Revitabrow applicator into the Dime tube so it's at least easier to apply. I do think the Dime works.

Makeup I'm mostly into eye makeup during COVID due to masks. I love doing eyeshadow. Usually I wear mascara but sometimes not, my lashes look better with mascara but okay without, and sometimes I don't want to have to wash it off. Washing only eyeshadow off is much easier. Same reason I rarely use waterproof pencil eyeliner anymore, most days I stamp black eyeshadow on with a flat brush instead. I loved highlighter pre-COVID and will wear again. I like bronzer too. I never liked blush that much before but now do, so want to experiment with that when masks are over. Love lipstick or gloss, sadly only wearing clear at the moment due to masks.

For my skin, I've never once slept in my make up. No matter how tired I've been, I've always washed and moisturized my face before sleep, and my skin has thanked me for that.

Now I'm over 40, I rely on Primer under a very light application of foundation. I love the Benefit Pore-fessional Pearl Primer! I also use Revlon Skin Lights illuminator in pink light under my eyes, rather than a concealer; and am much happier with the result. With dry, aging skin, I no longer use powder cosmetics - liquid, cream, gel, etc.

On Friday night instead of my usual evening moisturizer I use the Arcona Wine Hydrating Mask as a moisturizer (thin layer, massaged gently into the skin, and not washed off), on Saturday night I do the same thing with Dermalogica multivitamin power recovery mask. It's a 'trick' I learned several years ago when getting a facial. I haven't gotten a facial since Covid hit, but used to get them in spring and fall. Luckily I inherited perfectly shaped eyebrows from my Mom - sadly, I didn't inherit her slimness or height.

I also have thin hair, and stopped dying it dark brown. Found out I'm not ready to go grey, but using a light brown that matches my natural color, so I don't need to get it dyed as often since only the grey roots show, not all the lighter brown roots. And the grey roots are so much less visible against the lighter brown.
interesting about the roots...maybe I should talk to my hairdresser....my hair is dyed auburn and the grey roots are a real problem.....I used root touchup spray between coloring and lately found the red was a bit dark so I got some dark blonde.....kinda works
but if I were to have my hairdresser dye my roots lighter, then they might not match the bottom
Not ready to go all grey

I’m 52. I used to try to tan back in the 70’s and 80’s when that was the cool thing to do. I greatly regret it. I now take many antioxidants and try to eat things like salmon, nuts, and lots of green vegetables to combat aging. I also use lots of things on my skin such as hyaluronic acid, vitamin C, lots of moisturizer, etc. This is my natural hair. I used to wash it every day, but now I wash it only about once a week, because it has gotten dryer as it gets grayer. I keep it very long, to my waist. And I use an eyelash serum. One of the best ways to look younger is to really take care of your teeth. Floss them daily, brush 2-3 times a day, especially before bed, and get professional cleanings 2 to 3 times a year.

I will be 36 this month and this is my routine:

Hair: I go to the hairdreser every month to get my hair deep-cleansed and have a hairmassage. Every 2nd or 3rd time I also get a haircut.

Body: massage for one hour each month. If feel it helps with my posture to not have tension in my back and shoulders.

Feet: treatment every 1,5 to 2 month.

Nails: I do my own nails 1-2 times pr week.

Skin: moisture snd exfoliation of my body. Moisture for my face.
