What I've got:
1. Delvaux Madame
2. Chanel 2.55 (more understated than the CF)
3. Hermès Evelyne PM
4. Fendi Fendista (which can be understated if I turn it around to hide the FF hardware piece)

What I'd also love:
1. Delvaux Tempête
2. Valextra Brera
3. Hermès Passe-Guide
4. Moynat Flori

...and if wishes were horses...

My least recognized and most luxurious bag from a brand perspective is my custom handstitched Buffalo Dalmatian bag by Duret (Duret.com). But its hide is very lux, and it does call attention to itself even if no one knows what it is. I have a few bottega bags that are unbranded, but very distinctly classics from Tomas Maier era.

The majority of my bags are Hermes. The ones that may be more understated are two vintage chaine d’ancre clutches (both very different, but resellers have described them with the same moniker at various times); a 35 Trim II; a TGM picotin (so large, it doesn’t register as a picotin); DH’s evelyn sellier bags in Hunter leather that I borrow (they look nothing like regular Evelyne); and, possibly my mini Della cavalleria

On of DHs other understated bags that I borrow is a valextra tric trac.

I think undrestated has a whole lot to do with what you are wearing, what you look like (think heavy other things). If you are wearing something that is blah it won’t matter what you are carrying no one will notice you. I think you are way over thinking. I could have a 50,000 dollar bag and my husband and everyone else would no statement at all. colors speak but i think the only one that would pick up on a bag that didn’t have logos would be other people that know who the designer is and care. Any bag without a ton of logos will be understated and nuetral. If your friends all carry then they will know but i can almost guarantee no one else will know or care so all your bags are understated. A bag is an accessory. If i climb out of my Ferrari with a Portland Tote believe me the bag will not catch any eyes and folks assume it is probably a 5 or 10k bag because they are too busy gawking at my car
