What is your favorite Bal leather??

2004 and 2005 are my favorite. Here are some examples.
2004 is a bit more silky. But I love the textures of indigo and teal.

Here’s a tribute to my 07 leathers loved and lost. Looking at these photos, seeing what I had in my greedy clutches but let go, literally makes me want to puke now. All I can say is that I didn’t know that the greatness of 07 leathers/colors was not going to be repeated, that it was a unique high point in Balenciaga bag history.

That leather...

I had a 07 GSH Marigold Brief with the chewiest, yummiest leather. Ended up selling the bag, because the style isn't working for me. The leather is fantastic, though. Sigh.

Since we are on the topic of discussing Bal leather: I was just wondering if should I take the trigger to score this Bal 2005 First? what do you ladies think of the leather? I guess this would be the "Magenta" colour.

Totally agree, 2007 had some amazing leathers, I had the dark violet work but the color faded a lot... made me sad.

Leather looks nice to me. Color looks a little off for 2005 magenta, but it could be the lighting.

T tag makes it 2008. In this pic it looks more like bubblegum to me. But I'm far from being an expert. Especially on colors. I'm sure someone else will chime in.

That's 2008 Spring Magenta. I'm pretty sure the leather is agneau and not chèvre.

It's the tag that looks more bg on my screen when I compare it to the color swatch in the library sub. I don't have the first idea what 08 bg and magenta look like

S/S had a mix from what I understand and the mirror does have a pocket. But the colour does seem off. Maybe ask for a pic taken outside?

I had to sit on this question for a bit... To have a really good think. I have owned Bals from the golden days of Chevre and there’s so much insane leather back then.

But I have to admit, the one that makes me happiest is my 01 FBF. It is the most distressed Chevre. It’s probably an acquired taste since the distressing is intense... But oh man, for me, it is pure joy to have. I can’t quit this bag! ❤️

I adore super distressed soft leather too but like smoother leather on bigger bags. Not my favorite of all, but my favorite for black City leather. My 05 Black City kills me.
