What is the classiest bag you own?

If there was one bag I own that is most likely to have tea at George V, donates to a good cause and attends a charity event , has a timeless personal style that is never about trends and is elegant and adds grace to any room....it would be my Chanel caviar flap ;) ;)

My classiest bags are probably my vintage leather Coach bags. I know a lot of people wouldn't consider any Coach classy, but they are honestly the most timeless bags I own and can go with anything from super casual to super dressed up. Especially the smaller clutch ones. Timeless and simple = classy to me.

I respectfully offer this:

I think 'classy' is in the eye of the beholder; one person's 'classy' is another's "OMG".

SO - in that light - every person here with a bag is carrying a classy bag, because it's what they wanted and what they carry and it makes them happy.

^^^^Well said!!!!

For a dressy bag, I would just use my little coach black leather woven kristin wristlet as a clutch. It has a woven leather flap over smooth leather, pretty silver clasp, silver chain. Lots of classy drama in an 8" x 5" package.

Must agree with this. I live casually, and my black Coach equestrian zip is super simple and elegant. I don't have the budget or the lifestyle for anything classier. For dressed up I love my vintage skins, though, especially my little red Varon cobra clutch, but it is probably more "splashy" than "classy".

Classy is so much in the eye of the beholder.
I have a Hermes 37cm Bolide in Potiron. One could argue its a classy bag; another could say its old lady-ish.
I have a soft grey no name satchel and the color and leather is divine. One could argue its quietness is classy; another could say it is boring.
I have a BV Veneta which one might consider simple and elegant. But many might view it as a woven hippy bohemian bag.

The Hermes Bolide and BV Veneta are two gorgeous and classy bags. I'm sure your no name gray bag is lovely as well.

I just changed over to my hunter green vintage Coach City bag yesterday and I caught a woman in Whole Foods eyeing my bag, I think trying to figure out what kind it was. I love that it's not so obvious what brand it is, but that it gets noticed for just being lovely, simple, and elegant.

why must some posters dismiss what others consider classy? the question was not "what do you think are the classiest bags?" it is "what are the classiest bags YOU OWN?" therefore your opinions on someone else's possessions are not necessary.

mine--i think are any of my lv & chanel handbags--even my reporter--some might say it's old and outdated--but i still think it's classic and super functional. i try to buy pretty classic handbags since i don't think a woman needs a lot of expensive handbags in life so i try to curate my collection.
