What is the classiest bag you own?

God knows!

I'm not Hyacinth Bucket (thank goodness!), so I'm really not bothered about trying to appear 'classy', as such; so I have absolutely no idea (or particular concern) what certain other people might decide to think of my choice of bag. :nogood:

I just buy what I like. :smile1:

I don't think class is something one can buy and quite frankly, who (who is actually 'classy' [if one really is intent on being snobbish about it!]) cares, anyway? :shrugs:

...and if you think I'm harsh, you really wouldn't have wanted to know my mother's (and grandmother's) opinion about the type of person who cares how 'classy' they look (or how 'classy' they perceive their possessions to be)! :nogood: :sweatdrop:

BTW, OP (and everyone who posted in this thread), no offence intended towards you, specifically, as I know this is just intended as a fun topic - this is just my opinion on this kind of subject (when people mean it seriously), in general. :flowers:

I don't think this post is meant as a snobbish thing, as in your most expensive bag, more like the bag that makes you feel special/ not so everyday. For me, it's all my small shoulder bags. I don't get a chance to wear them often, since I usually lug my life around with me. I think of these bags as my ladies-who-lunch bags and consider them to be classy. :graucho:

My classiest bag has to be my new (to me) Marc Jacobs Patchwork Venetia in Ivory. I just purchased from a fellow TPF'r, and my jaw dropped when I received it, it so stunning! The combo of the patchwork ivory leather, and the chain strap are gorgeous!

What would define a bag as "classy"?
I think all my bags are classy. I love them all. I would have to say my most sophisticated bag is my purple croc vintage Hermes Kelly and my Loro Piana exotics as well as my Ricki.

Roe, that's what it's all about: how do we each define classy? For me, a classy bag is timeless, one I can wear now and at 80, one my niece could wear at 20 at a nice dinner.

My white Chanel flap.

I love this pic! The contrast of the bag with everything else is so pretty!

I have got four actually!
My Speedy, my Birkin and my two Kellys!
But to tell you the truth .....I prefer to wear my Speedy....
The other three are not very practical.....

:D:D:D I had to laugh as I thought exactly the same whenI read the title of the thread... I think though that maybe, Americans - when they say 'CLASSY' they mean what we (BRITISH) refer to as 'CLASSIC' I could be wrong but that's what I gather from everyones replies... I dont think they perceive classy as we do...;)
