What is the best way to downsize? And do you downsize at all?

I wish I could downsize. I tried it last year and got rid of a few Coach bags I haven't used. I got next to nothing for them. Now I'm only buying what I really love and what really fits into my "mommy style." No more satchels for me. And I'm branching way out and buying a lot more than Coach. I blame dh for my branching out. He bought me a LV bag I was lusting after, then he bought me more. Lol. Now I'm buying everything I like.

I'm not a stingy or mean person but I have a hard time giving my bags away...even to family members. I gave my daughter a beautiful, beautiful red Dooney a few years ago and was so disappointed in the way she just dropped it down anywhere. I'd had it for almost 10 years and it still looked brand new when I reluctantly handed it over to her.

I know once a gift is given, it's of no concern how they use or take care of it but it bothers me anyway. I'm bad...aren't I?

I don't sell on ebay so I guess I'm stuck with my 20 bags. I only had three bags before joining this forum. One black, one bone/beige and a red. lol

I'm trying to sell a few bags as well on ebay, only a few watchers but no takers. I'm not sure if its just the season of people not buying or my prices are too high. Right now I have about 30 bags. But I want to lower that number to about 25. And when it seems like I want new bags so frequently, I decide to sell the ones that I don't use as much or just don't love as much. I also think that as I buy bags, I am learning which ones work for me. So sometimes I go through my list of bags and ask myself, what was I thinking?!
+1

I have become more selective recently via trial and error!

I am the same way, although I have many bags I don't use, I still keep them in my closet...I guess you can call me a purse hoarder....hehe

I'm the same way! I think it's normal. You babied that thing for years, and now it's just another bag to kick around for someone else. Ouch!

My sis is so sweet and gives me bags she is done with. I take GREAT care of these bags in case I get tired of them - then I can offer them back to her and see if she has any renewed interest. Otherwise, with her permission, I sell on Feebay and take her out to dinner :p

Awww go on and get it. You know you want it. lol
Thanks for enabling! The problem is the third bag is the same style as one of the others and I'm not sure the color is different enough. However, I know I love the style. The seller told me that if it doesn't sell in a couple weeks, she'll sell it to me for my offering price.

When a style works, it works. Since your previous tally came to 0, adding 1 more won't hurt a thing!

Nope, you're definitely doing it right, imvho. -2+2=0
Can't argue with math.
:roflmfao: I've always been good at math!

Thanks for the support! In my mind, I've saved money because I'm buying used bags on ebay rather than new bags at Coach!
