Not sure when this was posted but I have seen several comment how it's illegal to sell 8k gold . Well this is America you can sell whatever you can long as you aren't Misleading or lieing to get it sold.. And as far as Gold goes it is Anything under 6k is not considered gold 6k n above is considered gold.. There is 14 grams in a Troy ounce n 31troy ozs in a lb.. 8k at approximately 30% gold leaves about 3 grams pure gold for every ounce so on every LB Approximately 93 Grams of pure gold in every 1lb of 8k gold.. You can't tell me to not consider that Gold.. AT. $50 a Gram that would be about 5 grand.. Ahh throw it away it was from 8k gold.. lol.. It's not a very hard process to separate gold from the impurities.. And not costly. Yeah anyone that comes across 8k gold you can send it all to me I'll throw it all away for you.

Here is a crappy cell pic of the bracelet. My camera battery is dead
It's basically little circles around the bracelet.
I think it’s a cute little bangle for a great price. 8k/9k doesn’t seem like much of a difference and as many posters have said 9k is sturdy and commonly used in British jewellery for more expensive stuff. I think you should get years out of it without any problems.

Interesting that different countries have different gold amounts that are considered. Growing up 9k was standard (I'm British), especially as a kid. My parents would never get anything less than 24K - that's what they were told and I would insist on 9k to fit in with my friends, etc.
Now as I've gotten older I know look for higher carat. Vermeil gold and gold plating has become popular.

Personally it depends on the price and the design for me to get anything 9k now. I would consider it as a fashion item that I wouldn't pay a lot for. I won't touch vermeil gold, especially as price is high and it still tarnishes .e.g Missoma.

It’s all subjective about what “gold” is. In some countries anything under 22kt is considered to be costume jewlery, while in other countries 9kt is the norm. Personally, like I’ve said before, I see nothing wrong with 14kt. Especially 14kt white gold. You really can’t tell the difference if 2 rings are put in front of you (white 14kt and 18kt), also both will need replating. I’ve also never seen 14kt tarnish.
