I’ve been eyeing up a Bayswater tote for a while now, for both work and play. I’d like a neutral, professional colour, so thought either black, oak or burgundy. Then along came maple silky calf. Dilemma. Then along came Black Friday and the black has been reduced. Double dilemma. Any suggestions?
I'd go with the maple silky calf because of the smooth leather. More polished and unique. You can always pick up the black one later, or get the outlet version.
Yes it is more of a seasonal colour (although it’s been around a while now!). True that you can get black anytime, but I don’t often see them on offer. That’s what has thrown me. Oh the joys of such dilemmas 😂
On the USA site, the black is a shiny leather with silver hardware, not the pebble leather. Just another point to consider, shiny vs matte.
It’s the pebbled leather with gold hardware here in the UK. This is the one I like. Making my decision more difficult. I wish it was the shiny/silver hardware version as I wouldn’t be interested and would save myself some money 🤪
I bought the Bayswater in cornflower blue in the January sales for £795. It’s my first Mulberry bag and I love the colour, it’s so eye catching. The bag itself is beautiful, really classic and smart looking. I’m very happy with my purchase and look forward to using the bag for many years!
