What has your SA given you after you bought your jewelries?

One time when she called when I was baking I commented to her I had just burnt a cake and she sent me a cake from a bakery that ships! Other times she send cosmetic samples tucked into the box that has my jewelry item!

She also writes really nice thank you notes.

We purchased a Tiffany eternity band that was over 8K for my soon to be wedding ring and I got a hastily scratched out thank you note......which is better than nothing but still kind of lame IMO.

That's not very nice of that SA to do so as you might be returning to Tiffany to purchase other items in the near future.

So the store director finally gave me a call today and offered to give me $800 in store credit (only to use at that store only) for my wedding bands purchase. After spent more than 10hours on the phone to deal with this problem, I am happy that I didn't lose any money on it. I hope this really gives that store a lesson...

i find that some places treat you great and some do not. or maybe it's not that they are mean, they just don't know how to build a relationship.

examples:

i admire the ivanka ***** jewelry, but i can't afford it. i emailed them and told them how i loved their pieces and inquired if they were planning to add more affordable pieces (along the lines of designers coming up with a lower priced line along with their higher end), they ended up offering me a gift card off my first ivanka purchase, which i thought was so nice and really makes it easier to save up and buy a piece, knowing they value potential customers, even ones who don't have thousands to spend.

and now recently, i bought large pearl earrings at macys, and i spent a lot. the SA was great, totally helped me select the pair, gave me a lot of great attention, an extra coupon discount, etc. but she didn't take my contact info, didn't give me her card, nothing. i likely would return for a matching necklace. i was even thinking to send her a thank you for such great help and for helping me buy the perfect pair for me. however, i then thought..wait, they should be writing a thank you to ME. LOL

My husband and I bought our wedding rings with an SA at Tiffany's, His was 2K and mine was about 5K...a diamond eternity band..... She sent us a thank you note, referring to a conversation we had. Really nice. Again, for xmas, we got a card.... It was nice that they though of us.... I never got a card from tiffany before for other purchases.

Interesting question and responses!

I had no idea sales associates could be so nice. Every year I've been at my current job, I used my bonus check to buy a David Yurman piece. And just yesterday bought my fiance his birthday gift there. I've received nothing aside from the complimentary bottle of water.

My sister's fiance bought her ring at Tiffany's and she bought all six of her bridesmaid's Tiffany necklaces. They received nothing. Not even champagne.

On the other hand, after a visiting the Coach store only 2-3 times in the past year (and not buying anything), I spoke briefly with the store manager. Out of the blue a couple of months later, he called to tell me he had something in he thought I would like, but they only received one in and he would hold it for me until I could see it. I thought that was very sweet.

Wow -- interesting. I bought a simple silver pendant at Tiffany's Bellagio a year ago -- I think the retail was around $150 -- anyway, I live in Houston and my SA wrote me a thank you card! He most definitely went above and beyond, IMO!

I just received a really nice thank you card from an SA at tiffany, it had the sugerstacks collections all over it and just said thank you for your purchase. But i thought it was a nice thought considering it took me all of 10 minutes to pick out!!!

That's really nice & sweet! Smart of the SA too, I bet if you go back there, you will remember & go back to him.

hmmm.... the SAs at the louis vuitton stores have sent thank-you cards... surprisingly all except one of the asst managers... who sent a thank you after i sent a "i had a great experience at ____ boutique" email on their website.

At tiffany's i've never gotten a thank you card but once... a really sweet Japanese SA who gave me her card, invites me to events, and is always very friendly whenever i go in.

i could be wrong, but i don't think the associates at macy's work on commission. however, one would think that working in a jewelry department (regardless of where it's at), they would receive commission. :shrugs:

who knows.

Wow...very nice of that LV SA. I have never received any card from any SAs. How many bags/wallets have you bought before you got a card?

My SA at Tiffany's will give me cleaning cloths and extensions. I've never recieved a thank you note, but have sent her one! She is incredible, and can find items long after I thought they were discontinued. Three years ago, they had a diamond turtle pendant that I adored. When I decided to buy it, it had been discontinued. She looked online, called several other stores, and had it wrapped up and shipped from Tokyo. I was impressed - but I knew she worked on commission. I was awed a year later when she performed the same heroics for a $145 sterling pill box...
