:boxing:well she just replied this a.m. & said she got a chance to go to coach store last nite & they will give her 30% discount which would be 62.10, that she would give to me. She said she will scan her recceipt tomorrow for me to see that she didn't know about the 'FS'. So that would make the cost of the bag to me 222.90, so she must have paid 207.xx...What do you ladies think?? I want to be fair, maybe I should just wait & see her receipt & then decide.

 or

This is totally up to you, but the legacy bags do have an issue of breaking turnlocks. NOW... if the $200 was a fantastic price for that bag then I might take the $62 and just pray nothing happens :)

well I decided to just take the $62 & pray nothing goes wrong with it. It was upsetting that the first time I get a bag on ebay this happens. I think I'll just stick to the boutiques & outlets where I can see them in person....Live and Learn I guess.:shrugs:

FS means it was made specifically for the Factory Stores and was never in a Full Price store.

No, I was told it means FINAL SALE (no warranty) & that it doesn't mean it was made specifically for Factory Store. The bag I got on ebay has it & it is a Legacy Leigh & as far as I know the Leigh was never made specifically for the Factory Stores. If I am incorrect please someone correct me...as long as I know what the stamps stand for then I can decide whether or not to buy a 'FS' bag if I find one at a good price. It's not knowing that :cursing: me off.

As far as I know, FS means final sale. Not factory store. Personally I would not ever buy an FS bag unless it was super duper inexpensive and still I would be hesitant. I do not have the best luck and it would pop a seam or fray or get a hole just because it belongs to me. I need "repair insurance" for my peace of mind.

normally I totally agree, but I have more confidence in Coach than I do with some others. I have bags I've had for 20-30 years & never had a problem, of course they're all leather. At this rate my bags will outlive me:yahoo:

I recieved a bag from ebay that had holes punched in the creed and a black marker mark inside the pocket...these things were not described in the auction...does anyone know if Coach will refuse to repair this bag as well?
tia

They should - I believe it is only FS and ES bags they will not repair. I think the markings you mentioned are generally from a dept. store sale so you cannot return it at full price.

Perhaps I'm wrong- I've worked for a Full Price store for about two years now and I have always been told that FS stands for products that were created specifically for the Factory Stores.
