what does 'FS" stamp mean

Did you get a SEVERE discount on it? Most (if not all) of the time there is a white tag attached that describes the issue and it is a 50% discount (or more).

If you bought the bag from an outlet and you didn't see a "no returns" tag attached I would be concerned. IF you bought it from eBay and the person didn't disclose this I would return it at SNAD. If you have ANYTHING happen to the bag (broken zipper or broken turnlock) COach will not accept it for repairs.

Yeah there is something definitely rating as a flaw, I would take that bag out and look at it again real hard. If you can compare it to another perhaps that would help as well. For whatever price you got that for you are pretty much 'stuck' w/ it so to speak, no returns/refunds/exchanges etc.

Yeah, I got it on ebay & seller didn't disclose the 'FS'. I don't care if I can't return it because I wasn't going to anyway but not being able to fix it if it ever needs it bothers me..This is the first bag I've ever got off ebay & it will probably be my last, but I was trying to save some $$'s. I guess I did but at what cost, huh. I have examined the bag very carefully & still don't see anything so I'm going to keep it & hope nothing ever needs repaired.
THANKS to ALL u TPF'ers for your help I appreciate it. Think I'll stick to boutique's & outlet's where I can examine it myself.

Maybe if something happens you can take it to a leathe repair place. In the meantime I would definitely contact the seller for a considerable partial refund.

I did contact the seller & she said she didn't know what I was talking about. She said she contacted coach & they offered her a discount if they made a mistake, did I want the discount. She said she bought it in Lancaster,Pa & it didn't show on her receipt anything about final sale, not does it on my gift receipt I paid $285,how much of a discount do you think would be fair?

her receipt should say "as is" on it, she may of even had to initial it. depending on what the flaw is depends on the discount, at my store, we typically off 20% off the lowest price (at the very least). the lowest outlet price on that bag is $207.99 right now. With the (minimum) 20% discount, you're looking at $166ish right now for that bag. that FS does void the coach warranty and you are unable to return it to a coach store. I would definitely ask to see a scanned copy of the reciept to see if it says "as is" and ask for a partial refund since that wasn't disclosed. i hope the figures that i gave you help you determine how much to ask for. it does sound like she's trying to be (somewhat) cooperative, which is good!

Honestly I would take it back because if it is a legacy bag and one of the turlock breaks then what are you going to do ? These break all of the time especially in the 06 line. You can always find another one, what legacy bag is it ?

Is the minimum really 20%? My friend got the gallery tote, with patent trim at the outlet and there was a deep scratch on the leather. They offered her a 10% and it would be FS.

she said her receipt didn't say anything about final sale, she sent me a gift receipt & the white coach tag that showed:
msrp $658.00
factory 589.00
then marked down w/red pen to 259.99
she said she was going to the store tomorrow & will let me know.

I didn't even think about the turnlocks...oh gosh yes you definitely will want to keep that in mind too. Good luck, and definitely update w/ what she says!!
