What do you use your Neverfull for?

Hi guys, I bought a Neverfull MM last year in DE before the price increase. It’s been almost 6 months and I’ve only used the bag maybe 3 times  now I’m debating selling mine but a lot of people I’ve talked to are convincing me not to sell because it’s a classic and I won’t purchase a new one at the new price if I end up regretting it. So my question for you guys is: what do you use your Neverfull for? I originally bought it for work just to realize it’s probably not the best place to bring a designer bag (I work in a hospital), and now I’m thinking maybe using it for classes/school? It’s such a big bag so I don’t know what other occasions I could use the bag for. Maybe it’s because we have been in lockdown for the past year so I haven’t been out much. Just would like some input on how you guys use your Neverfull bag and if you still like it after having it for many years.
I could swear I wrote this! I bought my second, a DE MM in Nov 2019, Covid hit and work from home etc, so I didn’t use it till March this year! I also work in a hospital and had used my monogram MM pre- Covid, but wanted the option to “ tone it down “ sometimes, as well as use for travel due to the durability, hence the DE purchase. I had gotten used to it sitting in the closet looking pretty, but simply had to pull it out as it had been rainy all week and I was going in more to work, and it has been a source of joy! I have also used it on the odd weekend day and it is not as humongous as I had thought. Even though I haven’t used it as much as intended, (also got the NF empreinte for work last year), I will never sell, as I love it so much and can’t justify the new price. I plan to rotate it more often regardless of the initial purpose ‘cos if you really think about it, it’s just a bag, and is designed ( pun intended) to be used (also helps with that cost per wear, lol)!

I use mine as a work bag, travel bag, and baby bag when I’m toting around my toddler. Ive had it for years - and I go through cycles where I use it constantly and other times where I use it sporadically. I have it in two canvas prints (DE and by the pool) and want it in the mon monogram GM size. You can cinch the sides and kind of change the look. I think its a really versatile and useful bag.

I don't have a NV but two bags the same shape and size and I use them when I have to carry a little more like food for a little picknick, some flats to change, or when I want to buy some smaller things like from the drugstore etc. - thus for practical reasons.

But I also use them, when the style looks just good on my outfit, or...

...I totally want to carry them!!! :yahoo:

In the latter case, when I'm not creative at all: I think almost every bag looks great and spectacular on an unpretentious outfit like
jeans (or black trousers) and a plain but sleek white top

I’m not a huge a tote bag lover since I prefer crossbody bags so I always said I’d never buy a NF. Then the Empriente version came out and I just had to have it. A year later, I’m still enjoying it. I mostly use mine on the days I need to carry more things, running errands, shopping or for going to the movies (for all my snacks) and on the rare occasion I need to go in to the office (working from home since the pandemic). I use an organizer and I like how easy it is to find and access my things in the bag - which is the biggest advantage the tote has over my beloved crossbody bags. This feature plus the fact that it holds more makes it very practical and makes me enjoy using it. So much so, that I just purchased a limited edition NF in monogram canvas and I hope to purchase one in DE for when I return to office later this year.

I've only used my Neverfull MM a handful of times (had it 3 years). I use it for day trips mostly when I want to pack a change of clothes. I have it in mono and I think it's too loud for work. And, I like my speedy b better for daily use and shopping. The crossbody is so much more comfortable.

I think this is my future with my newly purchased Neverfull. I also agree that I have zero intention in wearing it to work. I wanted the tote to reach my canvas peace and any future price hike.

DE Neverfull GM

Use for “personal item” on planes.

Use for carrying kids’ things around (i.e. zoo, swim lessons).

Great versatile bag — my hubby always comments that it remains a good purchase. I remember buying it preloved in 2012 for $900 (old model, no pouch) and having serious buyer’s remorse over the price. Those were the days, huh.

Prefer Hermes for work though (healthcare) bc most folks don’t recognize it where I live, but they do spot LV much more easily.

I would keep.

Travel: I just returned from a business trip and I usually don’t check in my luggage as a time saver. I have had my Epi Neverfull mm since 2017 but just purchased the mono in October 2021.

This time I used my Mono NV mm, with a mono Pochette Accessoires inside with the 16mm mono strap. It was handy so I could have a reachable crossbody with my ID and phone inside. Tucked the PA back inside the NV to get thru security and at the gate. Can’t have more than 1 luggage and 1 personal item while getting on board. The NV is a great tote to slide under the seat and I could easily reach my snacks, laptop, work files, makeup bag, charging cords and a sweater, with room to spare!

I felt organized, put together, and stylish!

It is strictly my work bag. I used it once for travel but didn't love that it could fall over and spill out (sometimes happens when I'm driving to work too if I don't place it in the seat properly). I have a speedy 35 for air travel now and THAT I love for travel.

I use my classic mono and DE NFs MM as my work bags (and my carry-on bags for business trips), and hands down, they belong to my most used bags! Sometimes I also take them out for casual shopping and errands. My LE NFs MM I usually take out for visiting friends and family and for luxury shopping.:giggle:
I agree with the recommendation to keep your bag for all the good reasons which have already been stated in this thread and try to find a scenario where you can use her.:flowers:

I purchased my Neverfull in January and I’ve been using it on average 4 - 5 days per week. But I have two small kids, so when I head out with them I’m using it to carry their water bottles etc.
But that said, most of my other bags are small cross bodies so anytime I need to go out and carry anything more than my phone and purse I’ll use it!
I completely understand not wanting to use it at work though, I personally won’t either (currently still at home with my 2 year old).

I’m sorry to hear you don’t use it for work:sad: I have a MY LV WT NF in noir which I ordered in Dec 2017 and I used it as my work bag almost exclusively throughout 2018 (over my speedy b 25). I work at a University so not exactly a high end/ power job. If I’m not carrying much I like to cinch the sides in. I also love using it for travel. Hope you decide to keep it or become more comfortable going to work with it. Really is a great piece especially with a bag organizer.
