Hi guys, I bought a Neverfull MM last year in DE before the price increase. It’s been almost 6 months and I’ve only used the bag maybe 3 times  now I’m debating selling mine but a lot of people I’ve talked to are convincing me not to sell because it’s a classic and I won’t purchase a new one at the new price if I end up regretting it. So my question for you guys is: what do you use your Neverfull for? I originally bought it for work just to realize it’s probably not the best place to bring a designer bag (I work in a hospital), and now I’m thinking maybe using it for classes/school? It’s such a big bag so I don’t know what other occasions I could use the bag for. Maybe it’s because we have been in lockdown for the past year so I haven’t been out much. Just would like some input on how you guys use your Neverfull bag and if you still like it after having it for many years.

Hey, I've bought a Neverfull in 2017 and I also barely use her. Mostly for trips (when I need a bit larger bag) for short and long vacation. I also used it for my further education and i will do it again if I start a new one. I would also say keep the bag because the new price is crazy and mine looks still like new :coolio:

I don’t use mine for work (too valuable and I wouldn’t want it to get accidentally marked). I do find NF really useful for all casual outings though, such as shopping trips and days out. I like to carry a cardigan or scarf with me through Spring/Summer so I love a bag i can just throw an extra layer in. I also like to carry water too.

Hello! I have exactly the same bag specs, I also work in healthcare, and don't take my NF to work because of the same reason as you haha. I've had it for about 2.5 years now and I think I have used it <10 times...will probably use it for travelling when I start travelling more again, otherwise for now I will just be using it for conferences and things. I also would recommend keeping it as the price has gone crazy now and you might regret it later if you do sell it.

Thanks that’s helpful to know! But do you think something smaller like a speedy 25 would be able to serve the same purpose? The only reason I would sell the Neverfull is probably to replace it with a speedy for more everyday use

I sold my speedy 30, which is my first designer bag.. never regretted it.. the bandoulier speedy was also sold by me because it is not a nice crossbody bag IMO, too big.

I sold my 1st NF old version because i felt it was everywhere, esp replicas

But guess what, after like more than a decade of buying luxury bags, i just got the NF over this weekend after the darn price increase because i missed having it, i sold my chanel deauville tote because i was mostly scared to use it for fear of fraying.

There is not con abt the NF, for me except it is everywhere LOL. I will surely see at least 1 other person carrying it for every trip out that i make to the malls. But i still love it, i considered so many other totes i could get but nothing beats the size, material, weight of fhe NF to me

The price increase really sucks, more than double of what I paid for my 2008 piece.

But i would say, dont keep a bag if you are not gonna use it. I make myself sell the deauville becsuse i wanted to keep my bag collection minimalistic.. just 1 luxury tote a time. I wld probably regret selling the deauville at some point, but for how fragile the textile is vs the price, i would rather just use the NF.

I’ve had my first NF MM for 11 years now and it is still one of my favorite bags. I liked it so much, I also purchased it in mono and da.

I have used it as an everyday bag. You can cinch the sides in to make it more compact if you like.

Like a previous poster, I often carry a cardigan with me in spring and summer, so having that extra room is a plus.

This is me, too!

Yes, the speedy 25 could serve similar purpose. The difference is accessibility: zipper vs none and open vs compact. I can fit plenty in a speedy 25.

I'm a tote person and look for reasons to use them. In summer months or non rainy days I will frequently use my mm NF in DA when I need to carry more items. I feel that the DA and DE canvasses are far more under the radar than monogram. I have a GM NF in DE that I use for traveling. Do you have a locker where you can store your NF? As others have said, you can cinch it to make it smaller.

I’ve owned a couple of Speedy 25 B bags in the past but ended up selling both. I find them a bit too boxy and barrel like when worn cross body. Speedy B was easier worn short strap on the shoulder imo. NF is also way easier to get in and out of and find things inside. Lots of people love speedy though. If you think that shape would work better on you and you’d be encouraged to use it then you are the best judge, iykwim. Both are very popular classic bags so you can’t really make a bad choice here iykwim, just go with whichever bag speaks to you the most.
