I picked this up today, thinking it might make a good cosmetic type bag. I would take the chain off it if I were to use it that way. Thoughts?

It's a Nolita wristlet, right? Since the zipper extends beyond the leather? Perhaps the Nolita 15? 19?

Yeah, I like the Nolita wristlets .... they have an advantage that the other standard wristlets don't. They have a built in "width" across the bottom ... ie. a structured bottom so that they can both stand upright, and accommodate wider contents within. That would make them ideal as a cosmetic case. :)

As a sidenote, and for the record, the Nolita's are extra good at packing things, in a way that most other wristlets can't. I just purchased a Nolita 24, and it holds significantly more than most other wristlets with comparable length and heigh. Why? Because it has a structured depth to it. I'm not exaggerating when I say that I might be able to get as much into the Nolita 24 wristlet, as I can into a small Zoe pouch. This quality of the Nolita's makes them a real advantage, imho. :)

That sounds great. I've used the small domed cosmetic cases from a long time ago. I just moved into the pencil case I got on FOS. It holds everything I need, is long enough for emery boards, and the shallowness makes it easy to find everything. The interior feels like it will stay clean. The downside is that it takes up more room, and I'm not going to like having to switch to a different case when I carry a smaller bag.

Yes it is! I like it because it isn't fat at the bottom like other cosmetic cases. I think it will work great - thanks for the feedback!
