Thanks, all, for replying! For some reason which i can't quite put my finger on, i keep going back and forth about this necklace. While i like it, i can't help worrying that i may regret this purchase in a few months. Probably bcos of too many jewellery mistakes/regrets in the past : p

Sooo....i'm gonna just wait a while and see how i feel about it

Good idea Bread!

I just tried on this heart necklace from Hearts on Fire. It is very very cute and dainty. The diamond is very small (only about 0.09 ct) but extremely sparkly.

Unfortunately i couldn't take any pictures at the jewellers', and the only picture i found online is not very clear (I cannot find it on the HOF website either). The picture of the earrings is slightly clearer. The heart pendant looks exactly like the earrings in the picture. It has a diamond in the centre and some filigree design on the side of the pendant. Because the diamond is very sparkly, it looks bigger than 0.09ct. It is 18k white gold.

What do you ladies think of this necklace? Should i get it? It costs slightly more than USD 800 converted. I really like it but I'm not sure if it is worth the money.

I love the style of the necklace but can't help feeling 0.09 is a little small but without seeing it who can say...I LOVE the DBTY bracelets / necklaces and they are probably the same size...IRL is the way to go :smile1:

I have a Hearts on Fire pendant that is very similar to this one, except it is a teardrop shape with a tiny diamond in the center rather than the heart shape. It has the same filigree style surrounding the diamond, also. I enjoy wearing mine when I don't want anything too flashy and/or when I don't want to feel anything around my neck. I really like the heart shape - if I had seen that I would probably have picked it over the teardrop shape.

Yes, .09 is rather small. I may be wrong but I think the Tiffany dbty diamonds look bigger than the HOF ones of similar carat weight. Probably due to the difference in the cut. For this design the emphasis is mostly on the heart rather than the diamond though

I tried on the teardrop one too! The diamond in the teardrop is slightly bigger than the heart.

Have u had the teardrop for long? Do u still love it as much as when u first bought it? Do u find that the filigree design overwhelms the diamond or enhances the look? I think this may be the main reason I hesitate over getting it. I keep wondering if the filigree is maybe too much for such a small diamond?

I don't feel that the filigree takes away from or overpowers the diamond. The diamond gives sparkle and life to the center of the design, which allows the filigree and the diamond to enhance and play off of each other. I think I probably like this necklace more now than I did when I first got it. I ordered it without ever having seen it in person, and when I first received I thought it was kind of plain. But now that I've been wearing it and have had a chance to really see how it looks and performs, I really like it. Hope that helps!

Thanks! Guess I need to go try it on again. I tried it on for only a couple of minutes at the store so it was a bit hard to tell how much I like it. Thanks again!
