What do you think of the Kraft Paper collection?

Sounds like the next collection - a bag made of PU coated money! Maybe different currencies from around the world for a melange of colors.
They could always use paper money from Venezuela.
I think it takes about a million of whatever they use to buy bread
I like it and I got it. I don’t need nor want another leather bag and these days I am looking for something different. This is different, I remember one or two other designers coming up with “paper” type material bags but I did not buy them then.

As for it being environmentally unfriendly, it is nothing compared to the damage done by the fast fashion industry which 99% of the world partakes in. If you really want to change, change the way we support these giants wreaking havoc on our environment and contributing to the immense waste and pollution of land and sea.

I understand a lot of people were old BV fans and like the old Celine fans, I absolutely understand the new directions taken will not be to their taste. However the constant lambasting of the new things done by new designers is kind of wearing me down. The world today is messed up and I really don’t need any more negativity.

I came here to learn more about BV, old and new but the negativity is getting me down. Please understand I am NOT opposed to all views and opinions, we like what we like. We don’t like change but without change, we will still be in girdles, corsets and big dramatic skirts (could be fun actually but oh the laundry!)

You are most certainly entitled to your likes and opinions and i support you on this.
You'll find that we are a very supportive group here. :yahoo: I can personally state that for a fact, in my case.
Negativity hurts everyone and we are not into that.

Want to talk about things that are un-friendly to the environment, take the plastic water bottles everyone uses and then throws into the trash.

In fairness to Daniel Lee, he leveraged the current technology (social media) to show BV to a new audience. I don't like his designs because there are other designers with the same design elements but much cheaper. TM's design silhouette are usually the same from time to time but the Italian craftmanship and again the colors are remarkable. I have a coworker from last year and she was asking me about my outfits, when I told her they were from BV, she was surprised because she didnt see those from Instagram of BV. I told her, it was from the former Creative Director. Also, I will give DL credit for increasing the value of TM era bags. From what I can see the prices are much higher and more sought-after than before on the secondary market.

Hello BV enthusiasts. Reviving this older thread because I’m looking for some insight. I have not been a fan of BV until this collection caught my eye recently. I find it very interesting and I do like the color of this bags a lot. However, I am looking for thoughts and experiences with how durable this material is. I am wondering if it is easier to keep clean and color transfer free since it is not leather and in my mind PU is water resistant (please feel free to correct me if this is not the case). I am hoping that people who own bags in this paper-like finish can share their experiences and thoughts on ware and tare of this material. Thank you
