What do you think about these upcycled H terry towel bags?

TPF may earn a commission from merchant affiliate
links, including eBay, Amazon, and others

A couple internet sites that I looked at comments:
MM is not affiliated with Hermes Paris*
Each accessory is handcrafted from independently authentic vintage Hermes scarves
This company makes scrunchies, headbands, ties & know that what she uses is scarves that
have imperfections & she cuts them out to create these designs
VLU offers Hermes, Gucci, Chanel pillows, wristlets, framed scarves, coffee key chain bags, sachets, etc
also stating that there is no affiliation with these design houses & also that 10% of the sale will be donated
to Care Org to Ukraine Crisis Fund
Perhaps this is the way they circumvent the trademark issue.

Oh I'm sorry if I deterred you from buying anything, that was never my intent. I just find this "trademark" side of things interesting in a world of increased remaking (this case), dupes, replicas etm. You make it even more interesting when you said you found this on a department store's website. Well, if anything happens, 'm sure we'll hear about it.
Not at all, please don't feel that way @Sadayakko! I was casually browsing a department store's website and saw those bags. Out of curiosity, I clicked to read the product descriptions about them being made from H towels etc. Then I noticed the price and the fact that several colourways are sold out! I am quite surprised that these H towels can be sold with such a mark-up when made into a bag and not by H itself but apparently they are popular enough to be sold out!

That's why I am unsure how I feel about the bags because the price point is not low and on par with H leather products hence my post seeking tpf's collective wisdom :P And I am not disappointed with the many interesting and insightful perspectives on here as per always :hbeat:

Oh and yes, I found it on a department store website and the said store is a high end one. (This makes me more surprised indeed!)
