I first called Coach customer service and had them confirm availability/being able to back order the bag, color selections, and shipping date. At first, I was told by customer service that the bag wouldn't be available to order until May but then upon some additional research, it turns out that the bag is actually due to ship out on March 16th. I then called my local Coach store to place my PCE order. It also helped that the Coach SA that I worked with was quite interested in the embroidered bags as this particular store didn't know anything about them. It took a while for my SA to figure out how to be able to place the PCE order on the bags for me since the stock availability for JAX is currently showing up as "0".

I was really interested in getting this bag (in eggshell) too during PCE but just assumed it wasn't available so thanks for posting this information!! (Although my wallet is not happy w/ you at all!!:graucho:). I think I'm going to the boutique tonight so I'll give it a try!!

ok so i tried to call and they said they cant do phone orders unless it is already in the system as available. who knows maybe i can go in and bug them tonight and pay fp for it and then do a price adjustment when it comes in?

Your welcome, CA-Anonymous. I hope that your Coach boutique is able to place a PCE order for you on the eggshell Maggie. I couldn't decide between the two colors so I ordered both but will only keep one of the Maggies. At least that's what I keep telling myself :p

They have to put it through as a back order, per Coach customer service. PCE ends March 14th and the embroidered Maggies aren't scheduled to ship out until March 16th so you wouldn't be able to get a price adjustment on the bag if you paid full price for it, unless your Coach boutique was willing to do that for you. It's definitely worth asking.

Don't buy it at FP they will not do PA that is what they told me

If your store approves it (up to the manager), you can get them to process the backorder and apply the PCE at the same time. I did this with the inlaid Peyton. The backorder is a separate trans, and they have to select to apply PCE, so sometimes they won't for whatever reason....they don't know how to select it from the menu, or the store says their policy is not to do that. Some stores will PA and some won't too...but if you have to PA after the event, try to get them to write a note on the receipt in case they forget or the SA is not there when you go back for the adjustment. I asked for either/or (apply PCE now or PA later, but preferably do PCE now) for the inlaid, and the manager actually said no to writing the note on the receipt, but I could just "come back" for a PA at any time (yeah right, believing that one, LOL!). However, applying the PCE during the actual backorder was also ok by him. The latter was what I wanted anyway, so it was fine. :D If I went to another store in my area, they would say PA only, and if I went to yet another store in my area, they would say no to PCE on backorders period, lol! So sometimes you just have to ask around or ask different people in the same store till you get a "yes". I actually told the SA what I preferred, but she had to ask for permission and said she had never seen how to apply the PCE before during the backorder...so you might have to show them. :p

I'm confused on what "in the system is", but if you're referring to 15026, that is in the system for backorder, but just not avail in inventory yet. It will ship after the PCE ends. It's not the same process as ordering an item that is showing as avail in JAX. But in this case, the number is there, so all they have to do is process it as a backorder and select to apply the PCE discount. I know because this is one I verified because I was thinking of ordering it, and it doesn't ship out till after PCE. Also a PA should work...if your store approves it, but I would get that in writing on the receipt. I've done that and it works too as long as they remember what they promised.
 
Here are pics of Emma in the" light gold" color - The bag is lovely and classic but it is way too small for me. The dimensions are 15" L X 10" H. If the width was wider it would be perfect and I would probably keep it - but I'll be returning it. The third picture is the truest color of this bag. It is one of those bags that will not sit nicely on a flat surface, but falls over. The details are nice, but this bag is not for me. Back to the boutique she'll go. :nogood:

how do you show them???? how to apply PCE for backorders

When they are in the screen to process it, there is a little drop down menu where you can select to apply the PCE...I saw this literally in seconds when she was doing it because someone else grabbed my bag and started talking to me, lol..so I don't have much of a visual. The SA that did mine said she had never seen this before I mentioned it, and I knew it was there because I've had a store do it in the recent past. Just tell them to make sure they apply the discount before they close the transaction. I looked at our receipt, and there's just a line that says "total savings" and the amount saved...PCE is not mentioned on the order receipt. However, if you want overnight shipping, apparently there's no way to apply free shipping...at least I was told, and she did try to call the help desk to make sure.

The thing is, no amount of arguing that it can be done will work in all cases, but it's worth a try. I really think most just don't know how to do it, or they have applied the PCE discount separately if you've ordered/purchased other things and don't want to do it twice...or the manager says flat out no. You know how inconsistent they are. :p

This is what I was told by Coach customer service as well, especially since I mentioned to them that my Coach SA wasn't showing the embroidered Maggie as being orderable at the time. After I explained this to my SA, she was then able to apply the PCE discount to my two back orders for the embroidered Maggie.

WOW, that's a pretty bag! I like the texture...reminds me of Bridgit, Peyton, etc. I'm surprised it's that small. I thought 15" wouldn't be that bad. How does it compare to Audrey, for ex? I know what you mean about tipping over....it's a slim bag.
