I did!!! :yahoo: Awesome boutique service!!! Now JAX....a diff. story! :p

LOL, on my screen, I thought from your pics it would be a bit darker, and honestly, I'm not really a pastel person....but..... I LOOOVEEEE it!!!! It reminds me of ice cream. :D It will do well in my collection because I generally do not have so many pastel colors. I have whites and some blues, but this is diff. Thanks for asking!! Do you still love yours???

Yes Yes Yes. I love mine too. In fact I love it so much that I ordered the same color in the embroidered Maggie.

Now the embossed exotic Kristin drawstring hobo is another story :confused1:. Maybe it's because of the color, but I'm finding that I am trying to talk myself into liking it. I dunno - time will tell.

But I love the antique rose Audrey so much. It definitely reminds me of peach sherbet. I am glad you are happy with yours.

Yep!! I knew it was some sort of ice cream type variety! :D

I know what you mean. I was always in love with both that and the hobo, but my main concern was I saw the tan python Ella IRL and wasn't that impressed. It was ok...put it on my outlet list, so I fear I will have the same feeling here. I think some of their older printed python was nicer/more realistic IMO, even with the peeling/flaking issues. Generally I like a multicolor, though, and that's prob. the reason for me as well. I already ordered the tote, and I really loved it from Coachgrl's pics, so I feel a little better about that decision. However, if I don't love it, it will go back. I would say the bags are too expensive if you can't make yourself love it, but then I know exactly what you mean in the sense that I know everyone here is ga ga over the inlaid Peytons, and to me, they've always been just "ok". I've never even carried my black one, lol! So I should listen to my own advice, hee, hee! :p I guess take some time and see how you feel!!

Do you girls think the eggshell will have a shimmer finish like the Violet and Antique Rose?

I do! If you've seen the chalk Kristin rouched drawstring, that has a beautiful shimmer finish. I think it will be similar to that! At least we can hope!! All have been shimmery so far, with the bronze having a shimmer but blending in much more so...it's not as obvious unless you're in a bright light. The violet and antique rose are really nice!

So I wanted to reply again because I saw the hobo IRL today. I really like it! I still kind of think the same about the color, but I love the strap, etc! It's nicer to me than the Ella. But I would still say give it a little and see how you feel because as much as I've put my stuff in my inlaid Peyton and actually carried it around the house multiple times, I've never carried it outside! I've even put my stuff in it to carry the next day, and I've ended up not doing it. It's a very comfy bag in all respects, and stays put on my shoulder, has enough structure, etc, but I just can't make myself love it. I'm thinking it's going to be a b-day gift coming up for one of the nieces! I already got one of them a bag, so this one might suit the other one. I'm still gonna first see if I'll actually carry it! :p I've seen someone carrying the bag IRL, and it looked nice, but I never fell in love personally.

Anyway, have you tried the other hobos? There's the opalescent, which I like because of the sparkle, and the SAs were fawning over that one, but I also really like the rouched hobo in chalk. There's no structure, though..that was the downside, but I really love the look. The navy is pretty too. I think I want to get this one too...but still trying to decide about the floral eggshell! Anyway, it's another d-string type hobo, which might work out better for you than the embossed python?

^^I may actually try to take a look at the opalescent hobo, but I think I would miss the beautiful braided strap on the exotic hobo. I have sort of an off again, on again, relationship with my two inlaid Peyton's also. I used them both for about a week when I first got them, but have not really used them since. I continually have these kind of issues with some of my bags, though. As far as the exotic Kristen goes, I think it's the color and texture of the leather that is kind of turning me off. But I may grow to like it. It is the first exotic I've ever owned, so it may be that I am not used to it. It looks kind of fake (which it actually is - LOL) to me. And I'm getting tired of patent leather too, so I think that is why I am in love with the ebroidered audrey, you know, because the leather is so soft and rich feeling and is very different than anything else out there right now. Although I have my eye on the woven Peyton tote or hobo right now too. I am thinking of maybe getting that one for PCE, but the tote is exactly the same as the inlaid Peytons I already have. OMG - decisions, decisions.

Yeah, that is true..the strap is gorgeous on the exotic! Honestly, I think the newer printed python stuff that Coach is doing does look a bit fake. The older was better IMO, but I do have a tan python ergo which is also light, and actually I like it better than I thought I would when I first got it (I'm more into the patterned pythons). The scaly bags are not really for every day use...unless you're super gentle. The scales lift and peel just like real python, but other than cost factors, I guess I prefer less worry with these printed leathers than something like my python Sabrina, for ex, because where that bag folds is a constant concern...worrisome silhouette for any type of python or printed exotic too. I think the Kristin will probably hold up better, you know?

For the inlaid, the black patent kind of did it for me, but the Cs always looked a bit thin to me as well. I think I would have preferred it to be like the inlaid Claire, for ex. It's a comfy feeling bag, though. If you're looking at the woven Peyton, I have the hobo, and I LOVE the look of it. However, it slips off my shoulder constantly, and it also has the patent trim...the patent on it looks like vinyl to me. I like it ok in the silver version, which is what I ended up with, but again, I could have done without the entire side trim and strap being patent! I think it's less overdone on the tote, and if you like the style, it still looks diff. than the inlaid! Not to mention cheaper. The hobo is pretty large, although it would be comfy without the strap sliding issue. I have narrow shoulders, so many bags cause me problems with that!

^^I am glad you told me about the woven Peyton slipping off your shoulder. That would drive me crazy. So that one is out for me. I"ll keep thinking about the Peyton Woven Tote, or maybe even the Kristin Python Satchel like you just got. My favorite SA at our local boutique had that bag and brought it out last week for me to see. Very very pretty bag. Actually, I thought it was quite striking to look at. A real statement piece. The exotic drawstring hobo sits quite nicely on my shoulder, and that braided strap is so awesome. I'll probably keep the bag just because of that strap. The size is perfect also.

I just looked back at your thread, and you have the Kristin metallic Python hobo. My SA had that same bag in the large satchel, which was really gorgeous too.

I saw the embossed drawstring hobo in real life today and I think I am going to exchange mine when I get it. The leather just seemed so fragile to me and I was worried it would start lifting really quick.

Well, you may not have the same experience, but for me, it is just as bad as Carly. I know some people use the Dr. Scholl's heel liner thingies, but I don't try that. I won't give it up, but it's one bag that tires me out, and it's not the weight but just the strain! Give it a shot, though, if you like it!

Actually I also bought the tote. Originally I was going to buy the python satchel, but when I saw the Tools pics, I decided I liked the ring detail on both the hobo and tote better. I like the style of the hobo the best, but since I liked the pattern so much, I got the tote too. Well, as long as everything gets PA'd as promised, I will keep everything! :D It is definitely a statement piece...different, which is what I liked! It's also not quite as scaly as the tan hobo. It's a bit rough...rougher than the Amanda python was, but not as bad. It reminds me more of the explosion leather on the Bleecker St. platinum foldover, if you recall that bag from last year.

It's frustrating when the stores don't carry the pieces you want to see. I have to drive an hour to see much of what I want to see, and as of late, I've just been lazy and order and then decide. I've decided my L&T is getting better than the local Coach stores with selection, lol!

i'm not a fan of the new/upcoming items. theyre not "ugly" or anything, but for me, i loooooove the bold colors of the poppy collection and others of the like.

these new items are too plain looking IMO

I'm going to agree with you in regard to color options as of late! They are really missing the boat so far on some great brights! I recently got a MBMJ Flash Leola hobo in bright turquoise which is GORGEOUS! Most other brands have some nice brights so far...love the colors on the Sorial Fortune Cookie bag. That's what I want to see Coach do...not just for the Poppy line, but in their other lines as well! I think that's one reason I like a lot of the Poppy stuff, though...the colors are awesome!

I bit the bullet and ordered the kristen exotic hobo today. I hope it's not to big for me. I am a little concerned about lifting but we'll see how I feel when I get the bag.

I played in tools of the trade today and the floral bella tote is available now. I JUST ABOUT ordered it but I"m really holding out for the new peyton colors, or the petrol alex to hit delete.

The tote is 14735 SV/KX

There's also a groovy 14734 SV/KX and a glam tote 14741 SV/KX... all available now

I also saw a glam tote that's looked interesting. There was no pic yet but it showed available in JAX. Call a Made for me by Coach glam tote. 14979 SV/GH

Aside from those items I didn't notice anything new in the poppy line which is odd considering they're supposed to be introducing poppy again for the april floorset. I know they have the Kaleidoscope and obviously the floral coming out, but there's got to be more than that.

Thanks for the info, what additional peyton colors are coming out? Are you talking about the inlaid? carryall? or just regular leather tote? :smile1:
