I think engraving jewelry is something so personal that it would have to mean something to the person wearing it.

I am actually contemplating on whether or not I want to send my love bracelets off to be engraved (but I’m just not sure if I want to take them off and part with them for so long). But it would have to have significance.

Because of that, I’m thinking:
Rose gold love: To [My Name]
White gold love: From [My Name]

Which may not make sense to everyone, but I worked my butt off for them. I was proud to gift them to myself. So to me from me.They didn’t come from anyone or anything else but my hard work. Reminder that if I work hard I can get anything I want.

But tbd on if I can bear to be without them for that long lol.

I love this! You should totally do it. Does your local store not have engraving on site? Mine does it on the spot so no wait time.

Hard to get a good picture. But I have my daughters name and birth date engraved on my classic YG love bracelet. It will one day be hers. I was on the fence about the little heart, but I actually really like it.

That being said, the decision to engrave is a big one and should not be taken lightly, after all, these are expensive pieces. If you are even remotely thinking about the possibility of one day selling your piece on the preloved market, engraving a piece will likely devalue it to varying degrees. After all, who wants to purchase and wear a special piece with someone else’s name or anniversary on it? This might be something to consider. Personally, I’ve seen some people have bad experiences and regret engravings…during/after a nasty divorce or separation where they had their spouses name or their wedding anniversary engraved on it and they either don’t want to wear the piece anymore or have to sell it at a big loss. I was comfortable engraving my daughters name and birthdate because children are forever and I plan to pass it down to her. It feels more special after having it personalized.

there’s also character limits. So that’s another thing to consider.

This is so adorable, love the little heart too!! What a lucky girl your daughter is!

I'm actually on the fence. Engrave or not. If engrave, definitely my daughter's name, with love from mummy; something like that. I was told 20-30 characters. Don't think I want to engrave my bags though lol (will be hers in future).

Curious - can the engrave ever be reversed when one brings back to Cartier/jeweller?

Love this, so adorable too! And even for your kids (if you have them) it would be cute to pass down to younger generations and see the love between their (grand)parents. Haha Im seriously such a sucker for these passing down things. So beautiful to me and the fact the material will just last forever and ever <3

None of my jewellery pieces are engraved. I don’t buy jewellery thinking I will sell it down the track but engraving your stuff is a big deal. I know it can get buffed out/removed but I think of the loss of gold if that was necessary and I am not keen.

Hope you find something to engrave on your pieces with special meaning.

I also have my daughter’s initials, a heart, and her birthday on my love. The bracelet was a push present, and I love the idea of passing it down to her one day.

On one of my love wedding bands I have my sons first and middle name. My husband got it for me for Mother’s Day this year/my 30th birthday. It means so much to me :heart: it’s the only piece in my collection I have engraved.
