Yes they do!!!Technically, they can't do anything
But they're worn for the same reason we wear other jewelry, because we LOVE it!

Another bracelet lover here. I think we tend to move our hands around to engage people while we speak, and bracelets catch particular attention. I also like to mix and match them, though I tend to draw the line at 2 or 3.
The wrist is the slimmest part of most of us and I suppose bracelets are flattering - they suit everyone as long as they enjoy wearing them. I am dreaming of the day I can purchase my first Love bracelet - hopefully later this year.

I wear my raw amber beads bracelet- ( ex baby teething necklace) all month to combat pmt and af

I also have a small wrist, so I have all of my bracelets and watches sized down (links removed). I like bracelets because I can see them, they are pretty, and are jewelry for my wrists.
I can't see my necklaces unless they're on a very long chain, and I can't see my earrings unless I look in the mirror.
I CAN see my bracelets when I'm wearing them - so they are for my pure enjoyment really

Me too! I was 10 or 11 when that show was out, and I can TOTALLY trace the beginnings of my bracelet obsession to Wonder Woman!
Like someone else said, necklaces and earrings are for others to see on us, but bracelets and rings are for the enjoyment of the wearer!
If you are superstitious, in several cultures bracelets (depending on the material) can provide luck or protection. I have recently gotten in to jade and I especially like the history and beauty of the stone. When worn, the weight and coolness to the touch of a jade bangle is soothing for me. I can tap it with a fingernail or stack it and it makes a pleasant chime. I have several in different colors to match outfits, too.
