What designer bag would you take on your honeymoon?

Given the requirements, I think the one I'd choose to take with me (of the bags I actually have) would be either Mulberry Alexa or Antony.
What I would actually, IRL take with me would most likely be LC Small Neo or Kipling Amiel, which are both practical, weatherproof and won't make me a target. Honeymooners are a very popular target for thieves and robbers since they often carry expensive jewelry (wedding ring!) and more. When traveling, I always try to prepare and turn any anwanted attention away from myself.

I love the Chloe Drew bag that you chose! Another possibility is the chloe Marcie in small. Luxe leather+boho vibe is perfect for honeymoon. You don’t want a bag that looks too precious for spontaneous moments!

I totally agree about the Chloe Marcie. The flap design is so handy. Chloe is the clear front-runner so far for honeymoon bags!

For me, a Longchamp bag is a given!

Thank you ladies for indulging me - this is a fun thread :happydance:

No tote for me. Tote isn’t for romantic dinner. Probably something on the smaller size. Something crossbody-able should be a must here since you are going to go explorer. The strap should be leather coz chain will hurt on the longer day. Coated canvas or all leather should be a preferred material.

Funny enough, I keep thinking about LV Twist in this case. You can keep a folded reusable shopping bag inside if you get something and it look really nice and pretty and cool. And Epi leather wear like iron. You can turn the logo side in when you want no attention. Since it actually look generic enough these days from the back.

Oh wow, u brought back memories of our honeymoon, we flew with an overnight stay in Paris first and then on to Amman on Royal Jordanian’s crown class along with a princess on their A380 on which we were spoilt throughout this flight and the next on to Bangkok in the most amazing suite on the club floor with a glass bathroom (lol) before continuing via Thai Air to Phuket for a fab stay near the beach before our next stop Kuala Lumpur for New Year’s Eve partying at the traders hotel before flying to our final destination in Singapore staying at the Marriott whose buffet lunch/tea included lobster and oysters amongst a spread to drool over just choosing.

Anyway, for this trip I had plenty of luggage allowance so travelled light with my black & silver lambskin jumbo. Inside the jumbo I also nested my black classic WOC with essentials for wandering around streets easily.

As for romance, ufff! Off the scale.

... Then we did it all stops in reverse on the return leg!

HOLY MOLY!!!!

That... is quite a honeymoon!!!!!

And quite a bag to go with it. You have given us all honeymoon goals

I got married in 2015 and still haven't been on a honeymoon. Whoops! If we do end up going though, I'll bring my small Givenchy Pandora. It's my go-to bag for weekends and outings, fits any occasion, it's durable, secure and can be dressed up or down. I'd say it fits your criteria!

I have a goat skin Balenciaga bag that has had much use, including overseas trips. It still looks new. Like a couple of posters here, I also thought of Longchamp for what the OP described. On my honeymoon I carried a Dolce Gabbana bag. There are so many great bags out there that deciding on simply one is really splitting hairs. Fun to think about, though!

Oooooh nude or blush Gucci disco - I love that bag. So damned practical and looks so cool on.

I think a Mulberry Alexa in a fun print is a darling choice as well, and also practical.

I'm loving the pink color of your Dior!

The nude or blush Gucci soho is practical, it looks really cool on and it’s very versatile but it’s soft leather so you need to be wary of that.

The mulberry Alexa is pretty, I would tend to go for the more classic bags but a mulberry bag is an investment so choose what you love!

Thank you! The moment I saw it, I knew I had to buy it. I don’t have many colorful bags in my collection so this holds a special place in my heart [emoji173]️

I don’t normally travel with designer bags
I would hate to get upset on a fun trip over something happening to my bag. I recall on my honeymoon just using a generic black nylon bag.

Hmmm. If you are going to the tropics, you should go casual like a Chloe Marcie or a Balenciaga bag. A tote would be nice too. However, even when bringing other bags, I personally don’t go on any trip without my Haiku crossbody. It’s completely waterproof.

I’d bring a WOC. It can hold cash, CC, and passport. Perfect for evening attire as well as daytime activities. But I would also bring a medium size Longchamp. While wearing your WOC crossbody during the day, the Longchamp can hold souvenir purchases, bottle of water, umbrella and more. Your honeymoon focus would definitely be on your romantic experiences with your hubby. Keep everything simple and bask in this special time of your life. It only happens once. As someone else suggested maybe pick up a bag while your on your honeymoon. GL
