Don't know if it's too late for this, but I would definitely recommend either the Rose Jade or the Black since they are both pretty neutral colors. The CSM is the perfect size for an every day bag and I think you will get the most use out of it if you get it in a more neutral shade. I have it in the Sweetheart Pink and although I love the bright pink color because it is totally my style, I sometimes wish I had gotten it in a neutral color to go with more outfits (:

What neutral colours would you recommend? I am spoilt for choices. I love the bright colours (sweetheart pink) as I usually wear dark coloured clothings so I thought it would be a nice POP of colour. But i think im rather conservative and im quite scared i will not reach out for such a bold colour :/

I mean neutral colours other than black (I have too many black bags) and rose jade (i cannot picture myself wearing a light pink bag).

I personally love neutral colors and black never goes wrong in everything!! :)
I personally do think that cedar maise are the icon of Kate spade itself &#128536;

The Maise is my most favorite Kate Spade style, I have a few of this bag in different colors and patterns, my favorite solid colors I have are Vivid Snapdragon, Rosy Dawn, African Violet, Bluebell, Vivid Yellow. I also have the one with the Applique Flamingo and All Over Roses Print! Such a gorgeous bag! Definitely one of the classiest Kate Spade styles ever!:)

I have the CS Maise in ballet slipper pink and adore the color. It was my first Kate Spade. I love this style bag in nearly every color option I've seen - not to mention patterns - but I'm currently coveting it in celeste blue.

I have the opposite problem, I am trying to choose between neutral colours: black or cliff grey CSM - does anyone have any advice on the matter?

The black bag is very sleek and timeless and will go with everything, but I'm not necessarily much of a black person, I LOVE grey but fear I could get tired of it more easily/it's not as classic and not sure if black would go with my things better. Eeep.

I think I am slightly leaning towards grey though - still classic and neutral, but a bit more interesting. I have always tended to steer away from boring black, but I know it would be useful and it's soo beautiful... ARGH the problems of indecision :laugh:

Would love raves about either colour if anyone has them :)

I usually go for neutral colours in larger bags and buy a coloured wallet as an accent. Typically I'd have bought black but I recently purchased the Cedar Street Harmony in Cliff Grey and love it, along with a couple of wallets so I can mix and match (I posted a reveal thread a few days ago). Maybe you could go for black and buy a Cliff Grey wallet?

Thanks for your advice, I ended up getting the cliff grey one! I love it too, a bit more interesting and a bit more my taste I think.

I am quite saddened, but also ecstatic, that the grey was on sale!! Got it for $156 woohoo!!! The exact items you want are rarely ever on sale :)
