What coach do you carry in the rain/bad weather?

It's good to hear a lot of you haven't had any issues carrying bags out in the rain. I'm usually so paranoid that I won't even carry my saffiano bags in the rain, but it's been raining so much lately that I'm getting tired of not being able to carry my favorite leather bags! I'm going to learn to not be so paranoid about it now!

Most of my Coach bags are smooth leather, so I either opt for the canvas tattoo tote in summer, or my MBMJ patent hobo (the only patent bag I have so far). If it's just spotty random showers I don't worry about it as I'll likely have an umbrella. If it's a miserable all-day deluge I make sure to use a bag that can handle it.

I would be carrying a plastic bag otherwise lol. We have rains in the fall mixed with snow.. then go to snow, hail, sleet.. freezing rain and then move into snow, rain etc for spring.. heck it snowed in May. Yes, really.

If i had to baby a bag to that extent i would only admire it, it just wouldn't be worthwhile here.

Well I am happy to report, I got caught in a RAIN storm today coming out of work! I mean drowned rat pouring rain! Needless to say, I was not expecting it and was carrying my Garnet pleated leather bag. I got this one pre-loved and I really wasn't sure on the type of leather, but there were no spots or damage done to it! Another one handled the rain beautifully.

That's good! weather is super unpredictable it's hard to carry bags that cannot withstand a bit of variance.

You and I are the same. I've always wanted a patent bang, just haven't found the one for me yet..

I got caught in the rain with my Ace satchel. My umbrella was definitely more over the bag than I was haha. Saffiano is amazing, it still looks new after yearsss.

I was just wondering about this. This is my second fall/winter since I started buying leather bags. Last winter was pretty dry, but it is looking like this year will be bad. I've been keeping my bags inside when the weather is bad. I've gotten caught in the rain a few times without damage, but I'm still hesitant.

Are there any issues with coated canvas or is that fine in the rain? I am considering a Dooney & Bourke to get me through the winter. It's a bag I've had my eye on for a while, but I thought the price was too high for the material. Now that my leather bags are sitting in the closet, I am reconsidering.

Canvas works perfectly fine in the rain. Don't be too afraid to bring out the leather bags :) unless you're in a storm with no umbrella, a little rain won't hurt it
