What Cartier pieces do you wear to sleep?

I have some visuals now. LOL.

Based on experience, those accessories that i do remove before sleep, hardly see light. Just like my VCA MOP bracelet - for years i only worn it very occasionally, as i worry that chemicals from shower (and no I'm not one who will bother to remove/put on pre/post shower) will damage the MOP. But it doesnt make sense to keep it stored away; moreover it is a significant piece aka gift from my spouse and i like to see it on me everyday. So during pandemic i decided to maximise its ROI and never took it off. The MOP is fine till date. I'm glad i didnt neglect it.
Precise reason i decided on full rather than cuff love bracelet as i like to see her on me all the time (i mean for cuff i'll be tempted to remove).

I only wear my small love and trinity cord 24/7. I only take the trinity off when I am doing a cord change. I will be adding a small juc soon and that will also become a 24/7 piece.

Everything else has to come off before a shower but comes right back on afterwards (rings, earrings, necklaces, watch, VCA mop bracelet)

I like to take my non 24/7 pieces off before bed as well with the exception of my Cartier 1895 wedding band and DL necklace but sometimes I will sleep in everything if I’m being lazy.
I wanted to get the Trinity cord bracelet before the latest price increase but didn’t know if it would work for me - does the cord dry fairly quickly when it gets wet? Does it absorb water really easily?

The knots are usually the last to dry but it takes less than 20 minutes for the rest to dry. The knots might take 30 minutes. It absorbs water well because even when its wet its not dripping water you can really only tell if you squeeze it and because the color of the cord is darker than normal unless you have black.

I’m exactly the same. I prefer to leave my jewellery on 24/7 and not being able to get something wet is a deal breaker for me.

Even though I do have the 5-motif bracelet in onyx & the Magic Alhambra version on my wishlist, my intention is to wear them combined to make a 10-motif necklace :graucho:

Blue Agate and GMOP are so gorgeous - I love seeing everyone’s pictures of them

I actually had the Signature Perlee in WG on my wishlist as well but I’m not sure how I feel about stacking it with my LOVE/JUC so I’ve taken it off the list for now - bracelet content is such a great feeling!

I agree. This is what prevents me from pulling the trigger on VCA even though I love seeing them on other people. Especially the GMOP and the blue agate. Realistically, I know that they are not practical for me. I would only consider all gold pieces from them.

I need low maintenance pieces that I can get wet, especially being the mother of a little one. For the money, I feel like it’s better value considering the cost per wear for the pieces that you never take off and don’t have to baby. I feel less guilty about it. I can’t think of anything worse than dishing out thousands of dollars for a piece of jewelry or a bag that sits in your closet. I try to be honest with myself. Someone on this thread once said its important to make purchases that fit with your lifestyle; not your fantasy life, which stuck with me and it’s actually so true. Sometimes we buy things that are not practical for our lifestyle and then we end up selling them at a loss or they sit in our closet and collect dust for years.

Totally agree with everything you said!

I have my long term VCA wishlist but most of the items are solid gold pieces - I would only consider buying stone pieces after I obtain all the gold items first.

I’m currently on a self imposed spending ban. I know deep down that I have more than enough jewellery. Cost per wear is important to me. If I do manage to get anymore VCA pieces, that is just a bonus. And you are right - buy for your current lifestyle, not your fantasy life (need to keep reminding myself of this anytime I start daydreaming about pieces that would never work for me hehe)

Sorry for going off topic!

I sleep with my regular love on my right arm, and currently on my left arm, a thin love and trinity cord. I have yet to take off my week old regular size Clash necklace—although it has a little weight I don’t really feel it anymore. These are all very comfortable pieces. I like to live in my jewelry.
