What bags do you carry to work?

For my computer, I designed my own bag at zazzle. I think they are rickshaw messenger bags if I remember right. They are great and durable to carry anywhere in any weather. Plus I designed it.

For the plane, I use the Park hobo as my carryon. Large and holds all the stuff you usually need in the airport.

I have ordered from zazzle, but have not checked out their bags. Thanks for the suggestion. I will definitely take a look.

The outlet mall that where I buy Coach also has a Samsonite outlet and I bought a rolling backpack there to use on the train and while walking to and from the office. I use it when I am carrying my laptop and other heavier/larger items. It has places to hold an umbrella and a beverage. I usually drag it behind me but I can wear it as a backpack when it is snowy or slushy or when I have to climb stairs. I find it much more comfortable than carrying all that stuff in shoulder bags and I use it for my laptop when I travel on planes too.

I have a Vera Bradley mini cooler that is plastic coated, washable, light-weight and has a long, wide, adjustable strap. It is black and white and the pattern is pleasant. I use it to carry my lunch and it fits nicely inside my rolling backpack when I am using it.

I also carry a nice purse for personal items but I find that more and more that I use lighter-weight and patent leather purses because they are more practical for commuting. I also look for light-weight accessories to try and avoid heavy loads.

I try to never have more than 2 bags with me - my purse and the rolling backpack - or my purse and the mini-cooler. It is still a lot of stuff but I try to lighten the load whenever I can.

I think at this point, a rolling bag might be a good option for many days. Darn, I am getting too old to lug this stuff any more.

No kidding! This is the Samsonite rolling backpack that I use. Nothing sexy but it is sturdy and roomy but not too large or heavy. It fits easily on the floor under or between my legs when I am on the train. I usually roll it but I can wear as a backpack for short distances. It has a built-in elastic sleeve to hold my laptop. Good luck!

They have several but the one I got was the messenger bag. In fact, I have it today. Word of warning, the large is really large. I made that mistake and had to go back for the medium. Also, Zazzle always has coupons so never ever pay full price. Just do a search or I think zazzle.com/coupons will have their daily/monthly deals if you do decide that will work for you.

All the years of carrying all that stuff will add up. I have a standing appointment each Friday morning with my chiropractor to prove it. I think rolling is really the way to go.
