What bag do you carry when it’s raining?

Gucci Aphrodite, Nitz PJ (Neonappa), or Longchamp. If it’s not heavy rain maybe Jypsiere (Clemence with Swift flap) or JD Diane messenger (both of these would be fine too probably).

I just avoid the shearling ones. Otherwise I take every bag. The vachetta containing ones I sprayed with Collonil and then they are usually fine. Actually I spray all bags… In Germany it is frequently raining. If I don‘t do that I could not use any bag…

I have a Loewe puzzle in satin calfskin that I use in all weather. Rain just seems to bead on it so no damage whatsoever.

I don't know why other brands don't do something similar. I guess it would sell like hot cakes.

I use either my coated canvas Longchamp Le Pilage or a nylon Coach crossbody.

The only bags I avoid are those with vachetta leather--and I only have one of those that I very rarely use anyway. All my other leather bags are hardy enough to withstand some rain. Heck, my gold Evelyne even imbibed on a (spilled) aperol spritz last summer and survived.

I got caught in a rainstorm yesterday carrying my Decadent Sheila bucket bag. It's similar to Céline Sangle, so open top. The leather survives a monsoon with no trouble, so I only had to make sure my umbrella covered the top part of the bag. Usually for rainy days I carry grained leather or LC nylon bags, which have no trouble in any weather.

When it rains I am usually indoors. If I am outside it is just a walk from my car to the inside of the building. I live in a place that actually gets little rain and high humidity. I think all my leather bags are done for with this weather.
