What bag do you carry when it’s raining?

Normally, a little rain won't worry me. I'll take my normal everyday bag out, no problem e.g. Hermes Evelyne or Sikkim Maxi DS, Gucci Aphrodite, BV Roma. Just not Hermes Box leather bags, pony, calf-hair, velvet, silk or exotics (exception ostrich). Sometimes I'll take a folding 'extra' bag with me if I'm determined to take a certain bag. Nothing would have survived the downpour of last night except a plastic bucket!

I have a Prada nylon too that I wear all the time. Mostly because I have young children and it’s so useful and spacious (I’ve had it for over 7 years and it still looks great) but it’s also so durable, in all weather!

Perfect! Several of the nylon crossbodies are super cute, and so worry free. I am moving it to the top of my list now :)

Prada saffiano re-edition, as a shoulder bag, more protected by my arm.

Or YSL grain de poudre envelope bag.

Both treated leather bags, very durable and an easy wipe off when they get wet.

The only 2 bags I wouldn't carry in rain because waterspots are my 2 old Mulberries. I don't like to carry an open bag for an obvious reason, or a fabric bag that will soak water.

I go for nylon (LC LP, Kipling, vintage Mulberry Flight, Ju-Ju Be), coated canvas or a leather bag.

I just ruined a ysl tote when I wore it in the rain. The leather blistered and it looks terrible now. Would love to hear what other tfp’ers do!

I have a couple of Dooneys I use this time of year. They can handle almost anything. Even in the pouring rain I am not out in it for any length of time, but my favorite bags stay in!
