I really like to have a mixture of classic jewelry (for everyday wear) and statement pieces of jewelry (mainly for events), so my top three jewelry brands mainly consist of:

Tiffany & Co.
John Hardy
David Yurman

Hey Ladies,

I'm pretty new to the whole jewelry scene, and am wondering where you guys get your jewelry. Of course I've heard of Tiffany, VCA, Cartier, HW, and some other big name brands, but are there perhaps some other, less "corporate" brands out there that you guys love?

tl;dr: Where do you ladies get your jewelry?

I did the yg Tiffany, but to be honest...I think I outgrew it. Most of it is too cutesy for my liking. I am more of an understated elegance type. VCA is VERY much under the radar here so my pieces always look unique and some are still whimsical but not cutesy. If that makes sense. I saw some darling 18kt yg hearts, bears and stars at Tous. Now, I know you are paying for the name but their quality was impeccable and they all had screwbacks which is a must for DD's earrings. Tiffany's will charge me $45 to change them out or if I go to my regular SA, I think she was going to waive that but aside from the dbty collection I didn't see much suitable for her or anything at all for me that I just HAD to have. I think I have evolved. Please do not get me wrong, I still love the pieces I own but the new ones they have come out with in yg aren't targeted toward me. I should mention that they very rarely add yg pieces. I was debating the yg bone cuff right before the last increase, maybe even over a year from now and it was too much and too avante garde for my taste. I would be interested in other brands or brand less as long as the quality is there. I just haven't come across them as of yet? Any suggestions or recommendations? I find Cartier too industrial of a look for me and too recognizable for my liking. Please I nerd suggestions and recommendations as my classic jewelry wardrobe is now complete so except for an extremely elegant piece I am only buying for my DD. But please show me some understated elegant pieces, my only criteria is that they must be at least 18kt YELLOW gold. I do not do white or pink gold, platinum and/ or silver ever.
