The wife still likes the Faberge line of jewelry, mostly the eggs as they are still being made in small quantity. There is a seller if fine gold work from Italy being sold in Nordstrums, his unique finish to every piece of jewelry is placing a tiny ruby on the inside if the item that touches the skin of the wearer, said to be a good luck charm. I will post his name later, his work is well made & delicate-stevie...Hello,
I would love to gain some insight from all of the knowledgeable TPFers. What do you buy when you're not buying Cartier, Tiffany, VCA, etc.? I'm looking for obscure brands that aren't mentioned with the frequency of all of the big design houses.
I'm tired of seeing all of these contemporary designers that use gold-plated metals or merely 14k gold. I want to learn about designers that create beautiful pieces in 18k gold. Where does one go when he/she does not want something so "cookie-cutter"?
Thank you all for your thoughts and suggestions! I greatly look forward to reading them and hope that this thread can become a wonderful resource and reference guide in the future!
