i want to say phone but sometimes my 6+ doesn't fit in my smaller bags so

1. wallet (i do not have traditional keys, all i have are access cards and i do not drive anymore)
2. lip balm and or lipstick
3. envirosax for groceries or extra shopping that i need to HIDE*

*a loaf of bread or some leafy vegetables on top of new shoes/bag/clothes works like a charm every single time because no one is interested in checking out veges and bread #lifehack #sneakylikeapro

Everyone says phone and keys, but I usually keep those (along with my train pass and tissues) in my coat pockets in the winter for easy access.

What I do keep in my handbag on a daily basis are:

1. My agenda (Louis Vuitton MM)
2. Either prescription glasses (Warby Parker) or sunglasses (Prada)
3. Pepper spray

I need pepper spray. Actually a tazer is what I really want. Just quite sure about a gun at this point!

I'm all for strict gun control and I'm against concealed carry, which is why I don't even carry mace. If something happens, I'd much prefer incapacitating the attacker and leaving the police to deal with him or her. Plus, my pepper spray also has a tracking ink that's visible under UV light for up to 24 hours that the police should be able to see if I need to use it.

Where did you get your spray with the ink in it? That's a great idea.

The good thing about this brand of pepper spray (aside from the UV tracking ink) is that a portion of each sale goes to some foundation. I got the pink one which goes to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, but the neon blue one for instance supports Kuros!, a company that provides pepper spray to women in developing countries for self-defense against sexual assault.

Also, don't forget to shop through Amazon Smile for Amazon to donate a portion of your purchase (at no additional cost to you) to a charity of your choice!
