@sassification I don’t think you should make a purchase based off of fomo. Especially since VCA is now cracking down on HP 2022 pieces in the resale market and they could blacklist whoever was found reselling it and you may never be offered an HP again, if you care about it.

I was offered the HP in October and politely declined as I knew the color combo was not for me and I’m also not an HP collector. At these prices I want to make sure I’ll wear it often and love it enough to do so. It doesn’t sound like you love it 100% so for that reason and for the risk of reselling/possibly being blacklisted I would not purchase unless you absolutely love and plan to keep.

You’ve sold 2 of your vintage pendants before so it’s probably a sign these may not be to your taste? I would really take my time to think over the purchase unless you are fine with dealing with the hassle of reselling the pendant at lower than what you purchased at (for the core collection pieces such as chalcedony).

Thanks for sharing your honest view ♡ am quite torn

I sold guilloche hp cos i no longer like guilloche.. the Gold MOP HP i sold because i prefer White MOP with YG, so it is a color issue. Also, the pendant being off center sometimes got to me..

But after I sold them and converted to solitaire necklaces, I feel like i miss it again (fickle!?). Though like @EpiFanatic, pendants are less exciting to me than rings or bracelets.. so i am hesitating.

But because it will not be available after Apr 2023 (i doubt anymore batches after that), i feel abit fomo and wonder if I will later on regret missing it. The HP that i wished i got was the Pink porcelain one, but i wasnt into VCA then and i only buy WG or YG now (also WG i my bias atm)

Choices are so limited for WG pendants too.. i had the sweet pave which i also let go off because it bored me after 2 mths. I dont like WMOP with WG. Guilloche is also out for me cos i dont like so much metal. So i am kind of left with chalcedony or this HP if i do want a VA pendant. Although i love the look of a 10motif necklace, i know i will not get much use out of it compared to pendants

Very interesting that you can foresee your future preferences! ♡♡ i will see if i am fated to get this HP.. because I wont be able to go down to store until early Dec and my SA is like chasing me to confirm or let go. Lol. Which i can understand.. prob a long wait list still at this point.

I like dainty solitaire necklaces, for now.. but the big ones look nice too!

What makes you hesitant about the 10 motif?
(There's also a 6 motif but that's very different than a pendant )

Thanks for knocking some sense on me ♡.. i am not sure why this HP is making me waver.. i thought i was over pendants.. i think partly because WG pendant had so little color options, and maybe fomo. It keeps hovering on my mind, and it usually happens when i want something.

I will just see it in person and then assess how i feel..

Ahhhh, i prefer WG now (used to be YG maniac, though i still wear YG from time to time) so it bothers me that my 5 motifs may not be good matches for this HP. Lol. And bracekets are my thang nowadays

Bracelets r my jam. :lol: I have way more earrings though because I’m always cold so always in sweaters and long sleeves. If I lived somewhere warmer I would totally focus on bracelets!

Ah totally understand, i live in a humid climate , no 4 seasons.. although if i am in office, i kay be in cardigan if it is too cold. I used to have alot of earrings but streamlined now due to pandemic and mask wearing. I hated studs and now they are all i wear.. -.- tastes or lifestyle do change.. thats why i also am trying to be minimalistic and more practical with my jewelleries.. but i am starting to need some variety and color , like to switch things up a bit. Oops. Therefore i explained to myself why i shld get the 5 motif chalcedony. When i was determined to keep to just the 5 motif pave onyx bracelet. loL

I passed on the HP after seeing it in person, I just don't see myself reaching for it often or layering it with other jewelry pieces that I already have. I did ended up purchasing the 5 motif chalcedony it's much prettier in person and the color is almost like lavender, I prefer it in bracelet instead of pendant because I can actually stare at it when I want to, something I couldn't do with pendants. :lol:

I walked away from the HP, i went in store and it just didnt wow me in terms of the color of the stone. It was too dark for me.. and i much prefer the regular chalcedony. Just that i am considering either the pendant or the 10 motif chalcedony now.

I must say it wasnt easy to make this call.. to walk away. Lol. The fomo is real but i should only buy what i love, not because of fomo.
