I agree with the gist of papertiger.

If there is ever a problem take or send the item back to Hermes immediately. Why does anyone need to ask what to do!
If it were not Hermes and this ridiculous obsession with relationships, people would just use their common sense.

Distance can be a problem but it should not be an excuse for inaction.

Hi WhiteBus! I’m still here. I can’t tell if you were talking to someone else or me. There are lots of reasons for my inaction, not least of which that there’s an opportunity cost to every choice. I definitely haven’t had a spare day to drive 6 hours just for this bag. And because I didn’t order it myself, it wasn’t clear to me who to send it back to if not to take it back to the store. It’s just a bag and life goes on. I forgot I had made this post on Purse Forum until I came back here for another reason and saw it. I’m glad that I did, so now I can do something about it. Thanks for your thoughts!
