Generally (really, almost always)- automatic is more expensive- it's a much more complicated movement and you don't have to worry about batteries, even it's not quite as accurate as a quartz.
ok the problem solved and its doooowwnn to 2 choices!!
1. cartier roadster (its more classic and more versatile, it can goes with day to night nicely but its not as stand out as the chopard, and i think this is a MUST have watch)
2. chopard happy you and me (its more stand out and i always get weak knees when i see it but its too fun sometimes and cant go that well with my wardrobe and conditions, i mean from day to night...not really i think)
its soooooo hard choosing, its like choosing to eat potato or bread hiks both i like and cant live without but i cant buy 2...i am a bag person, i would prefer my money to go to my bags =) pleaseee help me, ow and please help with a good website for cartier watche online purchase also tiaaaa

I think it's best if you build your wardrobe with basics first and then go for the fun things to accentuate. With that being said, I would do the Cartier Roadster for sure. It will always be appropriate. I can't advise on a website that is outside the US. Might help if you confirmed what country you live in. Is it Hong Kong? Isn't there a Cartier boutique you could visit? Have you looked at eBay? They are around $4000-$5000.
hi ladies, it has been sometimes sinced i post in this thread, i have been hunting for the perfect watch for me and i have been trying on them =) i tried on roadster but its just not made for my hand, i dunno why when i tried roadster, i look like i am stealing somebody else's watch. ok here we come to the finals of , here are the nominees;
1. chopard happy SNOWFLAKES in large size with changeable white croco strap
(+) the diamonds is really2 amazing it can spin n spin really2 make me happy
(+) this is the right year to buy it sinced i am not married and still able to pull a very fun look
(-) its not that versatile with its sporty look
(-) i am actually looking for a square watches and this is round, the same with my rolex
2. cartier santos DUMONT in rose gold
(+) its square exactly like what i have been looking
(+) its very versatile, can go easily with jeans n dresses
(-) its boring =((((
(-) me n my bf is planning to get married next year and in our tradition we will have to buy a pair of watches...n this might be suitable, so i should not buy it now.
3. Franck muller master square or long island in rose gold
(+) i love the model
(-) franck muller is never in my list...well since i was a little girl i have always wanted, a rolex watch, a cartier watch, a happy diamond chopard watch, a patek. well if i want to buy franck muller, i will buy the crazy hours =) its lovelyyyyy.
sorry ladies if it seem like i am making such a big deal on just 1 watch, its just i am not a watch person, i am a bag person n this is gonna be my 2nd big purchase on watches so i will need to think very hard and really2 seeking for any help i can get. I think you should save the cartier to buy with your BF as a set, and for yourself buy a fun chopard happy diamond piece, that way you can have the best of both worlds
p.s. doesn't the busy background on the chopard with the busy snowflakes annoy you? i personally would like the design better with a plain or MOP face.

thx u for your reply naughtymanolo, yes i think so too for the cartier..but im not sure im gonna get this cartier for my wedding because the parents actually choose.
its just i love this cartier watch exactly as much as i love the chopard,
anyway the background on the chopard snowflakes is not as obvious on the pics, irl the flakes are very2 pretty, i was thinking the same thing until i tried it on, its just melt my heart =)
