I also thought of seiko when you said the "rolex look"

For instance, this one is well under $200 and comes in two-tone, or just gold or silver tone. Maybe the fluted bezel is too busy if you want a cleaner look, but I think it's a pretty good "rolex look" for less. HTH!

Yea that's the one I saw just a little bit ago online. Id get it in all steel I think, and it is the closest I've seen thus far.

Damn do I wish there was a copy of teh Ballon Bleu! At least between that and a Rolex the chances of me ever owning one are better HAHA

I just remembered the name of the brand I was trying so hard to remember. LOL. Raymond Weil. It is a Swiss watch company, very well made, and they have tons of Rolex/ Cartier looking watches. They do a lot of the white round face with Roman numerals and bracelet or leather bands. They have a wide range of prices but you can find them at places like overstock, jomashop, and ashford at discount. Overstock has a bunch of half priced ones right now. They are maybe a little more in the $400 range. I saved this one to my computer. It was at overstock I think for like $600 (retail is $1500) but of course I didn't buy it.

What is Jomashop? Is that legit?

I think others will have to chime in on that one. I always look but never buy. I think there are threads here. Most people say they are legit but there has been some controversy over Tiffany items since most people feel only Tiffany sells Tiffany. But I thought someone had contacted Tiffany and they said occasionally they do send stuff to outside sources... A lot of people have been happy with them.

I heard they buy from authorized dealers and sell items. But you lose the warranty? Or something to that effect, and you aren't guaranteed it's new stock? Or something? I hear mixed reviews too.

And yup! I mentioned Raymond Weill in the jewelry chit chat thread. Definitely a good brand to look into. Very well made and will last a long time.
