Newbie here and have a quick watch question:
So last year I got a gorgous rolex for my bday, only to realize that I am allergic to stainless steel! if i wear for more than a few weeks i start to get this rash on my wrist. So now I am in the hunt for another watch that I can wear.
Obviously no more stainless steal for me. cannot afford gold watches, and not a big fan of leather either coz they can get smelly in the summer. So what options do I have? Ceramic? can anyone recommend a good ceramic other than chanel?

thanks so much

Well basically you can ad a rubber strap to almost any watch, but there some retailers that offer watches with stock rubber straps: E.g. Panerai and AP.

What you should do before your next investment, is go to a dermatologist and check out if you are allergic to other metals as well.

Besides platinum and gold there is still titanium, which is hypoallergic as well.

Ceramic watches are also built by Panerai and IWC.

Anyways: I think a women never makes the wrong decision when chosing a J12.

Tag has a few with rubber straps... You might want to be careful of the watch backing itself, no? I mean, if that's steel too, wouldn't that still irritate your skin? You could also try something like python or crocodile straps if you want something different. I've got a python watch that I love love love (except that it will be replaced for something waterproof), and it doesn't smell at all.

^^ I agree with all the comments above. If you want to see how you go with a J12 material, you could always go for another brand of watch that is cheaper but with the same materials as the J12, that way you see if your skin is affected, it sounds like your skin is affected by the different materials, you know this can come and go. I had a reaction to Plat as well as WG at one time, it went away and its fine now.

I have Swiss Legend watches, a white ceramic with MOP dial, and a black ceramic with black MOP dial. They are beautiful (IMO) and I can't remember the cost, but it might have been under $500 each...

I love the Swiss Legend watch with the diamond bezel. I have a white J12 33mm with the diamond bezel but thought a black Swiss Legend would be perfect, too. And you can't beat the price...gorgeous watch!
