watch for a friend's 30th?

I have read a few negatives on here about Michael Kors watches going through batteries in just a few months and not quite being "perfect", and that the company doesn't do anything about it or see a problem with it.

I have had many Fossil watches and none went through more than one battery in like 3 years.

I thought about Michael Kors. They have some great styles. But is Coach better because it is made by Movado?

Movado made watches are fantastic! There watches are very good quality and last a long time.
