Watch face colour help (Tag/Omega)

Mine is the Mini, too (22.5 mm).

The "95" has pointed hands. Compare the hands on mine with tartanwife's lovely SS model which has squared hand ends.

The "Iris" model has the multicolored sapphires around the face.

I agree that the roman numerals around the bezel are great. If you aren't going for diamond bezel, you'll get the roman numbers. Here are a few to get you thinking:

Thanks for pointing that out, I didn't even realise! I have sort of narrowed it down to (oh and I realised none of them have dates!):

In the pictures, diamond markers with MOP face look too busy for me (like everything's so shiny!). I guess I'll have to check it out IRL to decide

Not the best pictures (taken by Blackberry) but it gives you an idea how both Constellation (small size, 22.5mm) and Aqua Terra (ladies size 30mm) looks like side by side. Both are accurate....just that I tuned my Aqua Terra 5 minutes faster!

No regrets for MOP AND DIAMOND markers!

Constellation is elegant whereas Aqua Terra is sporty....so really if you want an elegant, recognisable watch, it's Constellation. Forget about the Tag....(tsk tsk no offense meant to Tag lovers)

I would go with Omega MOP. I think MOP dial goes with everything - probably more so than black dial.
I personally prefer no diamonds - I like my watch to be quieter - but I'm probably in the minority here.

I would choose Tag MOP. I have Tag Aquaracer MOP with diamond markers and it goes with everything. I think white or black face looks just plain in comparison with MOP. When i was getting Tag considered Omega as well but in the end thought it was too feminine and petite, iykwim? Not in a bad way, just not for me... Wanted smth more edgy. Dont know how to explain correctly

Thanks for your opinion! I am actually after a feminine watch and I totally get what you mean wanting something more edgy. I was thinking Omega looks more dainty and Tag looks more edgy but needed confirmation. You have confirmed my belief so thank you!

Thank you. Great choice with the two tone Constellation. I think you can't go wrong with MOP and diamond markers. Somehow I prefer the old Constellation. The new one looks sportier to me and with the stiffer bracelet, I just wonder if it 'hug's the wrist better than old model.

Try them out and can't wait to see your selection.

I wear a Tag Link MOP face and diamond markers everyday and I love it. I liked the Carrera first but when i tried them on the link looked a lot nicer on me and plus the band is sooo comfy, you have to try it on!
I like all the watches your deciding between and agree with most people that say go for MOP and diamond markers.
My watch goes with everything. Day, night, has a date, 200m water resistance, after about 6 months daily wear looks brand new.

I'm in the market for my first watch. I think I'm either going to go for Tag or Omega.

Here are a few I'm considering (only included a few from Omega as there's way too many to go through!) however I'm hoping to be steered in some sort of direction.

I'm quite keen on a two toned watch as I like to wear gold and white gold.

I was quite keen on a MOP or white face (disliked black) but I'm now thinking black goes with everything (and white) as opposed to MOP. Although I think black face might be the way to go, I think it looks ugly with a two tone watch!

Would love to hear your thoughts/experiences with faces and which ones can easily be paired with everything as I'm looking for an everyday watch which can also be worn at night.

I like to look of the Tags better. The bracelet land the face look more versatile to me.

I wasn't sure if you saw a Tag with MOP face. This was my first nice watch, I've had it about 8 years or so. I have no idea what it's called or the size hehe. So anyway, a Tag MOP for reference. Oh and I've been totally dying for a two tone watch too. Love the Omega!

I say Omega, but I have been a fan forever. I also have a Tag for diving. Although Tag has beautiful watches, my association is with the sporty, diving aspect. The Omega Constellation is so feminine.

Does the gold bits on the watch wear down over time? I'm only asking as I went to Cartier and looked at a gold watch and the SA said best to go steel as it wears down though I'm not sure what carat it is. The Omega gold bits are 18c.
